Yes some do still get a liveing out the horses, but nowere near as many as a few years ago.And most are barred from posting on here.
The tax has killed everyone, though most do not understand how.
COMPAIRED TO A FEW YEARS AGO BETFAIR IS DEAD.
Iff the dacc and lads get it right, betfair will have to lay off lots of staff and rethink.
All lads and daccs have to do is ,no commision for a while, and seed the markets, revert back to max 5 secs in running soccer.
Then every one would benifit.
The pc tax has killed betfair.

Be selective,play what you know.
I love pointing(thus the user name)so I only punt at the points or the Hunter Chases. The rest of the time I don't punt.

The majority of pro punters are simply rich people getting through a fortune.

The proof of the pudding is if they exist solely on their winnings with no other income., and of course how long they've been doing it.

As The Dodger used to say about other pro gamblers, ''they come and they go.''

I do not think I could live out of what I make from betting but the regular £150 or

thereabouts I have won from the exchanges each week for over 10 years has certainly enhanced

my standard of living, long may it last.
By:

swift, a fact, people cannot make it pay trying to make a regular book on here,

laying the odd horse here and there is the way to win a bit if ones luck and

judgement is on song.

mix, this may seem like a silly question, but if your winning 150 sovs a week regular, why dont you treble your stake and make 450 regular

cyprusal, a good question, one of the segments of my modest success is a method

that only works to small  stakes, the 2nd segment would work to a larger

stake but I follow the maxim that little fish are sweet. I must add that I do

not follow any tipsters and have no system.

That would make sense if :-

1) he had a bank that could see a run of 50 consec.lsrs.
2)he was backing to level stakes ( i.e 1/50th of bank)
3) Had a bank that was 3 times original bank.
4)Could handle the change in mindset, to betting at three times normal'comfort zone' stake.

Even with a sufficient bank, a long losing run when betting with high stakes effects your thinking.

Would the majority (like me) be happy with a bit of "extra money"
to make life a little easier? Yes, I reckon.
Full-time living off horse-racing?  Very difficult, I reckon.
