got quite a 'sympathetic' ride against mr watson who subsequently hosed up in a cheltenham handicap - these are the type of horses/bet which drive me mad because I believe it should win on that form but no way could I back it after that ride at plumpton as I don't believe these should be rewarded.  I also choose never to back Brian Harding (never rated him and lost far more races he should have won than the other way round, and made a living from One Man QM) and very very rarely James Reveley (his tactics are always the polar opposite of what i think they should be!) or Brian Hughes (for me very weak and only shines on front running chasers) so dreams of milan e/w for me

The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of GET BACK IN LINE (IRE), ridden by Maurice Linehan and trained by Jonjo O’Neill, which was settled in mid-division before staying on from two out to finish second, beaten 8 lengths. They interviewed the rider and the trainer’s representative. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer. The rider stated that his instructions were to settle in halfway and finish the best that he could. He added that the gelding was very green in the early stages of the race and ran slightly too free. He further added that GET BACK IN LINE (IRE) had taken time to settle and made a mistake at the second last when staying on. The trainer’s representative stated the ride had accorded with the instructions that the jockey had been given. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race the Stewards noted their explanations.

The green hoop brigade and Jonjo combination take the pi*s day after day, they are the untouchables in racing.  Whilst the stewards and BHA occasionally wag their finger.  The BHA will occasionally find same minor rider or tiny stable at fault for laying some beast for a few grand but the green hoop dwellers just carry on their merry game.  Anyone with more than one neuron can see what goes on.
