Jeremy was told by his Father before he started Training to place any bets he fancied into the right pocket of his trousers and to pay himself from the left side.
He was told that he would soon be walking lopsided (and it would not be from winnings).
Advice he took.

Pauli, if I remember correctly Eddery was never beaten on Rainbow Quest.

He used to go to Aspinals Casino,London,sometimes with Pat!.

You're correct EGS.  Pat Eddery never officially lost on Rainbow Quest.  The horse did finish 2nd beaten a neck by Sagace in the 1985 Arc but was awarded the race following a stewards enquiry.

Tree had a good apprentice mid 70s who was with him for many years called Steve Raymont. The SPs of Raymont's mounts were so good that the stable made a level stake profit on all of its runners for about six seasons circa 1975 to 1980. Then Tree began to give Pat Eddery more rides and the SPs suffered as a result.
