Absolutely no chance of being in the first three IMO. Sprinter Sacre and Flemenstar will be head and shoulders above these, plus Sizing Europe and Finian's Rainbow as well as Sanctuaire and William's Wishes.

So after all the talk about who will take Sprinter Sacre on, Tom Segal stumps for Williams Wishes, a runner that he thinks will definitely run @ 25/1. He has a mark of 153 and probably ran to 145 at most last time out.
Free World has been brought back the UK after Clive’s Smiths Dispersal and there are a few good reasons for thinking he has a live chance of hitting a place in the Champion Chase. There will be a maximum of 8 or 9 runners, with most viable challengers opting for the Ryanair.
Free World is a totally different horse on good ground, up to 2 stone better than on soft or even good/soft. It makes a huge difference to him. I know that he will go straight to Cheltenham without a prep and will definitely run, also given he runs well fresh, it’s not a crazy idea. Tim Vaughan is a master of getting horses super fit for a day. Just look what he did with Stewarts House when he got him from Arthur Moore’s..
Free World also has been found to have bad stomach ulcers that are in the process of getting sorted, this will be sorted by mid Feb. Ulcers effect eating and one of the main side effects can be a lack of stamina through not digesting food properly. Not many people have this checked but he was given a full check up before sale and he had the worst grade of ulcers. This will have had a huge effect on recent runs.
Arthur Moore has also said that he had a bad chest infection that took a long time to sort out. This is now all clear.
His mark is artificially low. Everyone knows that Arthur Moore was getting his mark down for a tilt at the Grand Annual in 2012. You need about a stone in hand to win and he was running over the wrong trip and on the wrong ground to get his mark down to a very generous 136. He came down at the 4th last still travelling arguably better than the runners who finished in the first 3. He was a good second to French Opera at Cheltenham in a handicap off 152 so he likes the track.
Given that he will 100% run in the race, and that he probably still runs to at least 150 given correct conditions he is value at 200/1 and could run a place quite easily.
I'm not suggesting he is good enough to bother the top 2m chasers this year but there will only be 1 top flight 2m chaser in the Champion Chase this year. Second and third place will be filled by handicapers.

He finished very well with a welter burden when second to French Opera, over a trip 1f futher on soft ground that he absolutely hates..
He travelled and jumped arguably best off all last year in the Grand Annual before coming down..

If Tim Vaughan has him back to his best then he would have a chance of a place. If he is back to near his best then he'd be a a good thing for a hcap off 130. Do you know if he will be running any time soon?

He will go straight to Cheltenham.. Yes he would be a good thing in a 130, especially the Sandown 0-130 2m chase on the 22nd Feb..
But Champion Chase will be soft this year and £75K for second and £40K for third.
0-130 chase pays £6K to the winner.
No brainer.

Debatable as to whether he is a much better horse on good ground, his best runs appear to have come on good to soft, his record on good looks very patchy to me, a couple of seconds in small race fields over a flat track at Kempton. Add in the fact he is a less than fluent jumper of fences and the fact he'll be under pressure to stay in touch from the off and I think in my book it would be a "no hoper". Wish you well though, always refreshing to see someone taking a view on a race, hope it proves me wrong for you.

Cork. Yes its just a view, I have heard some positives and yes he has a load to find. Also that he is 100% going to run helps.
Just a view at a very big price and he is better than face value.
If ground is soft then I wouldnt be that confident...
