Name ONE jockey pro or amateur with a better record than SWC per horses he has ridden?
|
|
By:
Even refine it per % of horses for his father or other owners?

Waley Cohen gets far too much stick. There's no denying that Long Run would be better with Geraghty on his back, but we all know the crack before we place our bets, and I think he does a bloody good job for an amateur. Its his dad's horse and, if he wants to stick with Sam, fair play to him.

his dad is the hardest looking old posh bloke I've seen - Hendo would do well not to argue!

they dont do it for the money but for the enjoyment of the sport. he's an amateur jockey, has never confessed to be anything else. what you see is what you get, his father is lucky enough to be able to fund his sons passion to a high level. good luck to them, days like today are what its all about for the Waley Cohens.

Well said TD,without their ilk there would not be NH racing.

totally agree GT, they have paid their dues to the sport, deserve all the success they get.

Lads i know im talking to a noledgable bunch who ve never had a losing race but come on.SWC chased a suicidal pace in the ground against the worst field i can remember in the KG and was allout to beat a none stayer who was nursed into the race and never going to find feck all off the snaff,if that donkey runs a place in the gold cup i ll stop gambling.

By:
STOP gambling then..........name the first 2.............and the 3RD?

'that donkey' now won 2 King Georges and a Gold Cup....and still only 7yo.

i backed him,bad ride but he is an amateur, that was factored into the price, what do we expect, but all worked out well in the end,a terrible King George in terms of quality, but a great one in terms of excitement.
