I think Rock on Ruby ran well there. I think he will reverse the form on faster ground. He seems to run a better race on much firmer ground on which he finds more pace. This ground seemed to find him out but in March the ground will be different hopefully

Grandouet looks the bet based on that. The Fly being the danger.

Thought that race would blow the cobwebs off of ROR and Grandouet...especially the former. Thought he needed it the most.

Looks wide open at the mo.
Took a bit of the 6s about the Fly ante-p, hope he can return to his very best form this season, if so, he will take some beating.
On the big ran 2day, the winner had everything in his favour (Zark) race fit, getting 4lbs & the new chelt course is stiffer than the old & the ground was testing.
Grandouet ran a cracker all things considered.
Also took a small interest in Grumeti (33s) ante-p, i like him, tho it is tough to win the Champ hdle at 5.

There is no chance that either Zarkander or Rock on Ruby will win the Champion Hurdle.

For me right now it's between, Hurricane Fly, Grandouet & Oscar Whisky.

That's a bold statement stoozbet, what if they are the only two that turn up?

On a serious note it is a wide open race and who would have thought at this stage last year that ROR would win?

Happy with my 40's on Countrywide Flame at the mo

HF or ROR, for me at this stage.
Leaning towards ROR,though,thought
he ran a blinder yesterday.
10/1 looks good for a reigning champion.

Cannot see Oscar whisky running in the race. I think he is a 2 1/2 mile hurdler plus.I know he ran well yesterday but the opposition were pretty moderate. Its a different task to beat very fast paced 2 mile hurdlers.

ROR out of the 3 yesterday, but HF overall for me, stories of his demise are way too premature, at last seasons festival mullins horses generally were below par, and he was left with alot to do to boot, on his comeback I was very happy with him, quickened well and had GN held...imo!

Don't think they will run OS either, that aintree race is quite high up there for them isn't it, they've got grandouet, darlan and binocular...may be thinking about the trainers championship and raking in another big pot at liverpool and keeping him fresh for that.

Spot on Duffy my thoughts too. I cant see him competeting with Pure 2 mile hurdlers, I think he lacks that extra little bit of pace to be competitive going to the last. He will always find something quicker. Stamina is his forte and with time I expect he may go to three mile or chasing.
