must have been about 20 years ago i layed out 8800........with the tax the first 1 won at 1/10 the second 1 dead heated ..........just shows the perils of buying money .............kim tinkler rode the dead heat 1
with your contacts in the game could you not find anybody to lay it under the counter and save the tax not being snidey just curious |

good question the answer is yes but i had got involved chasing in a ladbrokes shop ,,,,,,only went in to try to nick 300 pound was about 7k behind when i had that bet ,,,,,,,,,,,i was due to go on holiday to spain that night i never went ,guess what the bird dumped me ,,,,,,strange thing mr crisp that at that time i was going to the races and moving money on course for big odds on punters ,,,so it would have been easy but i never expected to get hotted up and chase like a demon ,,,,,,,
|
|
By:
i just thought it was strange you being in a position to have to pay the the tax
its a good example of how folks can get out of position when chasing very unlucky though i bet you had a "why always me" t shirt well before baloteli |
|
By:
i would have thought most gamblers would relate to why always me on a daily basis ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i think people would be surprised..of how many top gamblers go chasing 95/percent i would say ..........i can think of some real horror storys ......

Last odds on shot I backed was Storm Alert at Ludlow in 1992. Had a chunky bet on it for me but, strangely, the overwhelming feeling when it won was not pleasure but relief. There's a punter at my local WH, who tries to buy £200 odd quid with long odds on doubles. He does ok but doesn't win overall. Just had a small ew on Jordaura today in the first race at Muss and those winnings, albeit modest, gave me far more pleasure than the money won on Storm Alert.
