...just using the ladder interface of their trading application? Preferably odds-on...I would like to get into this, if it`s profitable, following the flow of money (as i have the impression, many horses do get turned over odds-on, and I don`t have access to fast pics as I live abroad)...would you share any pointers? thanks in advance...

There is about a 2 sec delay for the bet to be placed - so very difficult

vc, you want people to give you advice on how to win their money..??
Report duncan idaho September 28, 2012 4:48 PM BST
yes, like taking candy of babees...actually easier without pics, no delay to deal with then...on-course backers so desperate they'll take 4/6 about anything less than, say, a 3/1-shot IR...as long as you stay sober(ish) you should be aok

@duncan idaho, and how would u do it if u were to apply this strategy? what would you look out for if laying without pics
Report elise September 28, 2012 4:56 PM BST

v.c. take a telling you will LOSE.
Report onlooker September 28, 2012 5:03 PM BST
When you see 1.25 on your screen -

It is already 1.15 in  REALITY

So - Put your LAY in at 1.05 .....

You will LOSE LESS.
Report duncan idaho September 28, 2012 5:04 PM BST
i would use the ladder interface of my trading application and look for horses that go odds on when that is clearly too low...but you have to be quick, as they often 'bounce' out to big odds again
Report v.c. September 28, 2012 5:06 PM BST
how will u know that its clearly too low without pics?
Report Storm Alert September 28, 2012 5:07 PM BST
It would be foolhardy to lay in running without pics.  Logically in nearly all cases you will only get matched if the horse has improved it's likely hood to win, i.e. you are optimizing to get worse prices.  Laying horses that drift in the betting market pre race without looking at form is something I do regularly fairly successfully.

only occasionally with the auto set-up feature. "keep in running" With little effect, I'm not a trader.

you'll need a vivid imagination or some pics ideally
Report Wesdag September 28, 2012 5:16 PM BST
listen to timeform radio if you've got no pics
Report v.c. September 28, 2012 5:19 PM BST
would you lay them straight away or use the tick-offset feature to take advantage of them bouncing, just in case they come back and win
Report Front-runner September 28, 2012 5:22 PM BST
Like a short priced favourite that I anticipate will  run up front . Some thing I  think will trade shorter and still get beat.
