Opposite the Cattle Market Andrew? Long way to come to place a bet

If it was his own money
he was a MUG
as it was somebody elses
he was a THIEF

He will be a lucky man if his mother in law does not press charges
because stealing £9000..he deserves prison
he has nothing to complain about

It looks like the money was put in his account by his mother-in-law, so she was a bit mad to trust him with it

Ha Ha @ Big aitch.

Agree with a long way, but I went over to watch the Sussex stakes at Goodwood.

I don't remember a cattle market, the WH shop was in a typical town shopping street, close to a Barclays Bank. The address on the slip is Stocklands / East St, Chichester.

I had more problems answering the bank security questions than actually placing the bet (but it was 1/20).

Can't believe some of you can't fathom william hills would take a 9k bet on a scottish prem game. If the price was bigger than 1/3 on here they would take 50 grand no problem in a shop and ring security to come round and escort the manager to the post office to bank it the following morning. (Ex bookies manager....)

Hills took a 4 grand cash bet from me at 9/4 in an Aberdeen shop.

It was circa 1988 though. Grin

his mother in law placed her money in his account because she was seriously ill..
so I assume he was to pay her bills because she was unable to
lowest of the low imo..

I have been a MUG many times over in my life
but never a THIEF...

You are right Andrew, it is called the Cattle Market Car Park now, always difficult to park there, especially when they have a Market there twice a week. Last time I went in a Bookmakers was when I saw an ex Business Partner of mine working (may be the Manager) in the C orals Shop next to the market.

Beyond all and above, to loose the money in a moronic fashion is one thing, but then to demand the money back is madness. Horse racing needs more people like him to keep the sport going!
