I see the clown that is unitedbiscuits is trying the same old trick on you that he did on me recently ie alluding that he somehow knows the bets you placed and also what you lay on Betfair trying to give the impression that he maybe has an "in" somewhere.Let me assure you that he is talking pure b0ll1X and that anything he says is pure guesswork.He actually tried telling me a list of shops that he "knew" i had visited one particular morning and what bets i had placed while i was there LMFAO.The guy is clearly off his rocker and although i detest him i also have a tinge of sympathy for him as those who feel the need to make up stories usually have a big void in their lonely little lives.

Insideinfo, Unitedbiscuits replied to a thread where the poster was looking to speak to a laddies shop manager, UB replied, so assuming he was not in his fantasy world, I would ring Laddies and also inform Betfair, that one of their "managers" is making remarks about your alleged betting patterns, see how long he lasts if he is a "manager" also would ensure a nice payout for you when you sue his ass.

UnitedBiscuits I DON'T believe you work for a bookmakers and although an bookie apologist I quite enjoy your Devils Advocate approach to debate on here which is very often very biased to the punters views. 

However, sometimes it is time to concede an argument and accept that Mr Williams has made a serious error. You cannot have it both ways, free publicity without obligation of the claims made.  Ladbrokes should take it on the chin and pay up.  Hills made a great offer, came out on top and fair play to them, but they would have paid up if Camelot had won.  This Ladbrokes skerming is plain embarrassing. 

As for the statements that people taking the Hills offer are arbers, this is again rubbish.  Even though I (and many others) on the deal lost, do you really think the majority of punters sold the value they had derived to 'steal' a few quid?  I dont think so.

Swardean - A long time ago, for Betfair, there was a direct channel from moneysavingexpert.com to a market on this exchange that looked like it guaranteed a profit backing the field (top batsman, memory serves) and a lot of newcomers went big red when an unquoted player was introduced. In their generosity, Betfair, compensated all the losers; and that faction has always since had a vocal presence on this forum. I'm not saying that the majority arbed the Camelot offer. Some did.

  The complainants are basically up in arms because the something for nothing they grabbed turned out to be different from the something for nothing they expected. It's an unedifying spectacle. Poor Mr Williams seems to be a bumbler,
but you'd think he was wanted for war crimes.
As for the guy hoping to get me sacked - good luck with that initiative. The only thing I'm afraid of is people thinking I'm on the same side as these bitter ingrates.

I think Williams wasn't fully briefed on the offer and hence 'mis-sold' it to the ML viewers.  That doesn't in anyway excuse his culpability.

It was Ladcrokes big sponsorship day and they wanted to milk the publicity.  However, Hil1s tweeted their even money Camelot offer late on Friday evening to try and upstage Ladcrokes.  Sure this took Lads by surprise and imagine some boffs were up early to come up with something to match it. They came up with the offer and only updated Williams shortly before on air.

u cannot come up with an offer like this overnight they would have to send it to their actuaries  who would factor in how much they could lay back on here the state of their book in on the day and see if they thgought it was worth it risk v publicity.

        If we hear nothing then I can only assume you are all fighting to become part of the new lineup in January.

I don't take much notice of or interest in Flat racing but didn't Badblokes offer a similar concession on the Derby? Back Camelot (up to £20 I believe) at 1/2; get £30 if he wins, £20 back if he doesn't.

Can't recall how i learned this but went down to both their shops in Cheltenham to get my £40 on.

Of course in that case the beast won so no damage done.
