Interested to know if others have gone the same way I have
If you had told me 5 years ago you would not be betting on Horses in 5 years i would have laughed at you being an absolute horse racing nut
But
It is so painfully obvious that you have almost no edge anymore no matter how smart you are for so many reasons that the game has passed me by and whats more amazing is I don't miss it at all
LOW GRADE RACING IS SO BENT IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY and the BHA honestly couldn't give a toss no matter what they say , they do enough to make it look like they care but they don't
Jockeys now can make so much more on "unlucky"
horses than winning ones
Bookies have the game by the nuts meaning it is harder to get a bet on than it is to actually find a winner and again the authorities couldn't give a flying fukk about punters as there is an endless stream of fodder that use the bookies who will bet on Virtual / bingo / fobt's to make the real punter obsolete
Probably 6 bets a year is about my limit now with a few well targeted football or sports bets
The edge has gone / Value is a joke word from the past and scum like the bookies reps paint a picture of happiness for everyone.
Very happy to be pout og it tbh as I am sure it would give me ulcers now trying to get a decent bet on

In-running? I used to until I realised it was not a level-playing field; platform provider did not care to mention this to unsuspecting and naive players though.
As recent as the triumphs of Don Cossack and Harzand in their Blue Riband races I'd have at least £2k running on the day. Now, £100 at the most of "free" bet (hopefully) as there's no point knowing the chances of bet restriction or account closure could be imminent, if so.
Soon could be zero if venture onto unregulated market is acted upon.

you only have to look at betfair what thay are takeing on a race 450000 a race no . 5 years ago it was a about 750000

I am betting 100% less on Irish racing and feeling very well on it. Emmet Mullins, Ronan McNally et al, go and stick it up your be nt Irish bottoms!
