increasing the minimum bet by 150% for a service that is about as reliable as a chocolate fireguard is a joke . im not a big stakes punter prefering small stakes but having 25 or 30 small stake bets a day . even that works out at £500/£600 worth of bets  a week now that want me to double my stake for a service that is useless talk about taking the *iss . and that's after receiving their glossy magazine this morning telling me theyare  the best thing since sliced bread .

If I've done some multiple bets, it doesn't let me watch the races on here even if I've bet several hundred pounds, so I sometimes do a £2 win on something in each of the races just so I can watch the races.

seems a bit much to expect us to pay £5 for each race when we've already paid hundreds for the bet.

same as you carrot, think I read on here before that once you have money in the purple account you can watch without betting, could be wrong.

What we'll do is create a market ......... then alienate a percentage of our customers by treating them like idiots.

what BF should do is, once you have spent £10 a day then you should be able to watch racing for free after that, even if they say a maximum of 10 races a day after you place bets totaling £10 or me, Cos if you was to say bet £2 a time on 25 races a day...thats £50 daily/ £1500 a month, so racing should be free !!!

If it was free then betfair might even do more business as folk who never intended betting in a race might be tempted to bet as they watch the race.

So what happens when the site goes down? and you have placed 4 x £5 bets on 4 different races and the races have finished by the time betfair is back on?  Will betfair refund ur stake money or part of it should you ,lose? Cos they wont !!

Surely the purpose of lv is to encourage IR liquidity by making it a more level playing field.Obviously notCrazy

Betfair's business logic is the opposite to everybody else's.

The customer is not king.

The bottom line is irrelevant.

A successful Initial Placement Offering is halving the share price inside 6 months.

You can just imagine the board meeting to think up new ways of raising revenue and some sharp mind comes up with this gem. Rotating bow ties must have went into overdrive.

These clowns are priceless,I could place an I.R keep bet or lay of say £20, but the bet could be dependent on several factors early pace, positioning, etc, therefore I would need live pictures before placing the bet, but cant get them without placing a bet therefore no bet placed period, which would make the principal of lv self defeating. In effect I am being charged to bet then another 4% if I win,you couldn't make it up.

they are doing everything they can to increase profits to push the share price back up so the to$$ers who 'invested' can claw back some of their losses, why don't we all just fcukoff and let the place collapse?

Agree with everything that's been said on this thread generally, but until the masses start voting with their feet, betfair will do what they want and when they want.Angry

couple of points,

firstly - cant you guys using gruss / betangel just place a bet of a fiver, then 'green up' for a level loss of pennies on your gruss / api? bet matched, pennies liability?

Secondly, Themover / carrot - can you increase the size of the screen on the purple site? i.e zoom in, as u can on the betfair video ?? tried before, but was just put off on the small screensize on ****?
Like u, had enough and will be leaving betfair once and for all- out of principle. got to question what is happening with this firm!

any info is great, ta

you really cannot make this up!! to my knowledge bet365 provide a free service yet betfair are effectively asking you to make a £5 free bet not £2. fair enough a larger % will be unaffected but this comes straight after last weeks unacceptable site outage when they offered terrible piss poor service and gave no explanation

betfair really ain;t got a clue about customer service and dont they make enough off people through normal commission and premium charge in the 1st place....come next year i doubt betfair will have many customers ffs

c) email betfair and wait a month for a reply ?

BCM2 is just a human buffer to stop angry customers clogging up the phone lines. Doubt he really gives a t0ss as to whether it works or not, it wont affect his wages either way. We're all been played like a bunch of mugs here.

This new £5 charge is an absolute joke and pure and utter greed at its finest.

I bet £2 per race on all ATR tracks just to watch and attempt to bet in-running on them.

I won't anymore.

And that reminds me, there is a thread in this forum full of lies, it tells how the industry is responsible for us having to pay to watch live racing!!!!

Well they sure as hell don't insist on £5 per race.

I think you people are missing the main point.  "Working idiots", like the designers of this little scheme, are not interested in customers, shareholders or their colleagues.  They just want to sit on their fat ar5es and pretend to work so they get paid.  There is nothing that can be done about them, they infest the business world.
