By:
Im just back, and although I couldnt log in through betfair site on my iphone I had no problem doing so through the ibet mate app

so much for an integrated europe.
as you could become a spanish "resident" anytime you wish this makes no sense. surely any european resident should be treated the same as a spanish resident. |
By:
No wonder the Spanish economy needs help they are clueless, they ought to concentrate getting their feckin taxes in and weeding out the corrupt rather than targetting punters on Betfair. imo
By:
Sounds like a right kick in the balearics

become a spanish 'resident' and you pay spanish taxes i.e. gambling tax
Andrew, did you try a vpn (not a proxy)? |

No wonder the Spanish economy needs help they are clueless, they ought to concentrate getting their feckin taxes in and weeding out the corrupt Like the UK has done? ![]() |

By:
Hippie, no I didn't. Would this actually bypass the server ?
I did try to 'hide' my ISP, but it didn't work. |
By:
Piratebay is blocked by uk isp's but is still accessible through a uk Vps

By:
SOME PEOPLE WERE TIGHT AND GREEDY AND WAITED FOR HAPPY HOUR ,SO THEY COULD DRINK THE MOST FOR THE CHEAPEST PRICE ,MOSTLY RIFF RAFF

Hey Saddo you can't have felt the HMRC around u ...lucky boy! Yes I have, you and I are clearly not wealthy enough to get away with owt. |
By:
The easy way around the problem is to go to Spain and enjoy your Spanish holiday without feeling the need to gamble. If you are unable to do this then I think you should seek help
By:
THEY WERE THE TYPE OF RIFF RAFF THAT GOT DRUNK AT HAPPY HOUR,BROKE AN ARM OR A LEG AND THEN WOULD TRY TO SUE THE HOLIDAY FIRM WHEN THEY COME HOME
By:
I have to agree with that, Escobar.
By:
MOST OF THEM GIVE THEM SELVES AWAY ,WHEN THEY RETURN TO ENGLAND AND WALK IN THE TRAVEL AGENTS SUPPING A CAN OF STELLA ,
By:
THE ONLY TIME I SUED THEM WAS WHEN THE SCOTS TRAVEL AGENT TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO TURKEY ,AND WHEN I GOT TO THE AIRPORT THE TICKETS SAID TORQUAY,
By:
Escobar that's ok for holidays i agree but there are loads from this country (EU citizens are we not) who have homes over there and spend chunks of the year over there not wishing to gain Spanish residencia.

ID NO NEED TO HAVE MY CHICKENPOX JAB IF ID OF KNOWN
By:
Andrew, a vpn (virtual private network) provides a secure tunnel to circumvent the block you described.
It's what dissidents use to communicate to the outside world. Link to a server in the UK and to all intents and purposes that's where you are. |
By:
can you access the site at all or just not log in?
i remember trying to log in to BF in Texas and getting some scary warning that the FBI would get me ![]() |
By:
throwthetellyoutawindow - if you are staying in Spain for more than 3 months you are required to have a Spanish residency. Anything else should be treated as a holiday and a break from a gambling lifestyle.
By:
I thought it was 6 months
By:
Wonder how the full timers who live in Spain are getting round it. You certainly wouldn't want to be paying the Spanish tax,as you can't offset any losses.
