It's exactly the sort of situation where the rules are wrong. Dettori has blatantly not cared that he's causing interference and undoubtedly stopped the momentum of opinion poll. You could definitely argue that he cost opinion poll at least half a length. However, there is no chance of it being thrown out.

Onlooker, yes that's the problem. How do you judge momentum. Until the bumps Opinion Poll looks the winner. It's possible and in fact maybe likely that Colour Vision picked up again and would have won but it's certainly far from certain. The rules encouraged dettori to bump the opponent. If there's any reasonable doubt the 2nd should get the race imo.

I did not have any money on the race so not talking through my pocket, i WOULD BE GUTTED if i had backed the 2nd because Frankie stopped its momentum..It cost it the race
