sack the lot apart from gary o'brien, and all bookie reps and gravy train members should be kicked into touch as well

The will never stop bookies reps as the firms in question pay a chunk for the priviledge - Rory is on telly more than Underdog

You're never going to please everyone but Matt clearly loves the sport and he's good at his job, the features/interviews with people like Henry Cecil, Bart ****s, Willie Mullins and Freddy Head are as good as anyone has ever done.

I will lead the crusade to save Sir Bob on condition that I get to throw the switch that gives Mapletwerp the 60,000 volts.

As someone mentioned earlier about them getting some fresh faces to analyse races or a pro-punter... The Royal Ascot previews on the site actually have pro-punter Andy Gibson, along with the Weaver, in their new look studio. Exciting times!!!!!

In all fairness I would give Mapletwaddle one last chance to redeem himself before throwing the switch.  If he can pick the Tricast in the Wokingham he can walk free.

The worst of them are those who are also on BBC or Channel 4. Thommo,Fitz,Cattermole and Pitman. I only hope they don't sign Carson.
Chapman is an awful commentator but as a presenter I honestly think he is different gravy.

Whole thing stinks of Chapman wanting a load of 'please don't go' type emails etc and is probably a whole lot of nothing. Very funny thread al the sameGrin

GET ON-- Boring and stale, interview a trainer, interview a jockey, interview a bookie, read e-mails from a brainless crettin or two, 25 advert breaks job done. Why don't they get a pro punter, form expert etc on to discuss racing instead of waffling on and on about issues not connected with the day's racing.Chapman and one or two others are not being stretched the bosses of ATR are lazy and take the viewers for granted. It's about time they spiced things up.By the way Robert Cooper is past his sell by date.

They have used "pro~punters"  Mischief

"TRACKSUIT DAVE"  Wink

Too many of the Chapman fanboys infesting this thread, time for those of us who can't stand racings biggest ego to make a comeback.

I would imagine Chapman finds the whole ATR "offering" a total bore.

hope Matt doesn't go, as most on here have said, he brings genuine interest to his job, you can't say that about many of them.

Matt Chapman is excellent in "the booth" , awful race commentator , the whole ATR team make Rishi look like a combination of Clive Graham and Sir Julian Wilson.

Nothing to do with being a 'fanboy'. I can't stand the vast majority of the racing media, but Chapman is head and shoulders above anything else on ATR

Gonso if the guy dropped the ego and the know it all I'm always right even if I'm wrong attitude I might just agree with you, the guy is often arrogantly dismissive of people who dare take him to task.

Diabolical commentator but his interviews with Cecil, Freddie Head, Alain de Royer-Dupre were top class he makes the channel infairness. You take away strong personalities you just need robots that go with the flow.

Silvergreaser funny some might describe you the same

Don't worry chaps - I'm sure Joke Corals will give Matt more shifts in their booth.  He was in there today giving it large commentating on the cherries and bigging up some truly criminal prices on tonight's footie - sadly it seems Matt is partial to having his nose deep in the trough along with the rest...
