Obtaining money or services by deception. |

A noble effort GT.....but do you really think you will get any action from them?
After todays antics im suprised this thread is still up. |
By:
They have no choice but to investigate if a complaint is made.

What a load of nonsense. |
By:

They have 5 mins to confirm an apology and that they will do the same on the morning line,if not the complaint will be submitted. |
By:

Nonsense is what was on yesterdays front page of the RP hth |
By:

By:
It isnt nonsense , in fact its the same as running a tipster service and misleading with claims of prices that only existed for 5 mins , several including bumrimmerdn have been taken to task on this issue by men with wigs and pvc cloaks , but thats another story
Shame has cast a long dark shadow today , |
By:
If this idiot and chavman are their plants they have not done a good job........in 3 mins the complaint starts.
By:
Many thousands of witnesses........who are also victims.
By:
Now going to lodge it with both forces.......go and read what I said on the RP site........let me know your thoughts.
Bearing in mind also, they claim it is LIVE. |
By:
That's completely different. Pricewise is a journalist. He does not charge for his tipping.
The fact of the matter is that Pricewise wrote a piece about a horse that was at some point 11/2 in a market somewhere. The front page headline is merely an anchor to that article and considering that article was written and submitted before the time of any rule 4's then that's all there is to it. Please note that I did not say that I agreed with the RP running with such a headline. I simply find the suggestion that they can be 'got at' legally rather far fetched. |
By:
hilarious, but i like reading the rp on a sat if i am on a session in the boozer, what other journal is better?as for segal he the best i have read in yrs,his taught process, conclusions etc.agreed it contains a lot of bull but what can u do?
By:
Reported to City of London Police.......btw pommy..........the article was written after the event for the next days paper.hth
By:
Btw little wonder you are losers if you just accept what you are given.
By:
I'm a loser based on what assumption?
You miss the point GT. I was referring to the article that PW wrote when tipping up the horse. That was of couse before any deduction. The anchor was the front page headline that was led yesterday. |
By:
good man pom, dont take any sht from him
![]() |
By:
That headline is where the offence is pommy, sorry if I offended you.It was a generalisation of people moaning about something an not doing something about it.
This did not affect me in any way,the simple fact is they (The publication) went far beyond the bounds of journalistic imagination. They lied to deceive. |
By:
Nice one kingrat.......another keyboard coward.Spineless creature, you probably are the sort who walks by while your granny is being mugged.
WARAC BTW YOU ARE A loser.nap |

Great stuff G T. . . . .
![]() I know as much about the law as i do mongolian land prices but is it legal to advetise prices that they know nobody can get?? Is that not deception?? |
By:
The original poster needs to get a life...theft? what a joker.
If they have advertised something which you feel is incorrect then it's a Trading Standards issue. Perhaps the only deception was they didn't advertise tom's winner at the SP but running around the web spreading spurious accusations is only going to get you in to trouble for wasting Police time and not the racing post. Chester races was a joke this week and I put up a thread stating it was a joke and shame on all those trainers and owners for declaring their horses and not running them. |
By:
Fink you will find o p has a life mike.
![]() Hates the rag of a paper as much as i do with page after page of endless bookies ads. ![]() |
By:
12/1 red merlin anybody??
must be available its splashed all over the racing post . . . . . . |
By:
RP, Taken to sending out e mails stating that 'racing post members club users had all the clues on Homecoming Queen's high class relatives before her 25/1 guineas win'. As tenuous a statement as you are likely to see....
By:
they ve every right to claim it as a winner,it was 11/2 when they went on sale ,non runners, rule 4 irrelevant - done nothing wrong, think its just people who prob have a grudge against them or competitors.
By:
GT-MOLE, don't you remember the Fallon case and the Clouseau'esque' investigation by the Met? You have 'two hopes', don't waste your time. The best thing we can do to instigate change is to not buy the rag or subscribe to the online version...
By:
The most that will happen with that is that they will advise you to contact the ASA. The outcome of any investigation they do will likely be that they require the RP to amend the wording of the ad.
To be honest if the RP just put something in the small print saying "prices subject to deductions" that would probably suffice. To suggest it is a criminal offence that tax payers money should be spent on is somewhat fanciful. |
By:
It is no different than betfair telling people that they are top price in almost every race or sporting event. They are top price alright but only to the serial losers, anybody who they have identified as winners, even small winners are lumbered with the now infamous premium charge which makes winning impossible, that is unless its a fast picture man or an AW cheat.
By:
I think that is right. Don't BF adverts now say something like "other charges may apply" which seems to be OK with the ASA.
