Why the continued debate anyway........the simple fact is that bookmakers are NOT bookmakers in the original sense.

Accountants pure and simple,the vast majority even have the tissue done for them by the exchange.Their shops are no more than a front for mini casino operations.......no problems with that.....good business.

Hi Toronto hope you enjoy your stay in Thailand, i worked up in Mukdahan for just over a year, as a consultant for the Thai government on the construction of the Peace bridge there. Its a beautiful country with such friendly people, just a pity people have such a blinkered view of it.

Good to hear from you Mukdahan.I dont know too much about the eastern border with Laos.I have spent most of the time close to Vientiane and along the Mekong,crossing into Laos across the friendship bridge from Nong Khai.When in Thailand i now spend most of the time in Udon Thani also Krabi or Phuket.Thats right the people are great and it really is annoying that so many people just associate it with prostitution.It really is the land of smiles,although have found Bangkok to be changing for the worst recently.

Im with toronto, Laddies and Boils closed in my case, but only a matter of time with the others bet365 included, they will all close you down for, 1 winning on a regular basis, 2 beating the sp on a regular basis, and probably other criteria such as following TS, or HT etc out of proportion to your general account usage, betting on only horses where it looks like you may have an edge rather than general sports betting or any other reason that looks as if it may cost them.
Its restrictive practise imo and they blatantly only want to take bets from losers as they now have other more lucrative income streams, turf accountants turned into bookmakers now operating more like amusement arcades.....

If you get a chance Toronto try visiting Chaing Mai its a beautiful area up there, i spent my honeymoon up in that area a few years back and was totally captivated by the tranquillity of the place
