As somebody who works in IT stress testing for HSBC and prepares systems for all eventualties of customer activity including mass withdrawal of funds, I have to say that the stress testing of systems at Betfair appears to be lamentable at best...
A system is only as good as it's weakest link and your weakest link causes your system to fail....I suggest you invest all the money you fleece in premium charges in an infrastructure that actually provides a service reliable enough for you to charge for....
An dplease dont give me the argument about unprecedented transactions - as you're meant to prepare for that!
