Neither will I Jermaine. You cannot justify slaughter. The euphoria and the aftermath. It is like a killing field. Claire looks truly shocked bless her. That isn't enjoyable more of a nightmare.

Happens weekly, so I would suggest avoiding all horse racing if that is how you feel.

You people saying "it happens", "it's racing" etc. are missing the point.

This race is made so dangerous by the conditions (types of fences, length of race) and the field size - things that could easily be changed to save much of the bloodshed.

the people who say "it happens" do they have any argument as to why it should continue?

But then I'm a lot older than that and I'm upset by the Pete pictures. It was truly terrible

Whether you bet in this race again is not I'm sure of any consequence to anyone.

Why you bother to state the bleeding obvious about the fact that horses have died is also nothing new to most of us.

If you really feel strongly about the National, dont waste our time on here.
Get off your arse and petition people, go to your MP, put yourself out there and do something about it.

Methinks your not passionate enough to do anything other than mouth off like many others.

Do something positive or hold your peace.

Wot was I saying about gob ****s in an earlier thread. This sport has capable leaders and they need to be strong stand up and be counted. Public opinion is shifting. They should be sensible enough to ban it.It cannot continue as it is for sure.

RM is correct. Always the 'bleeding heart ' brigade march out after the event. Its sport. In sport horrible things happen.

Watchit.      What said about football was there are some bad head injurys.  and the head to head and elbowing should be clamped down on massively   Every week it's a blood bath and I can't remember the last game I watched without claret all over the pitch.       That's what I believe
But this was on a different level and could easily be prevented

The sight of the foaming traumatised synchronised chucking A P off in terror before being chased and forced to run to it's death will stay with me for years

Maybe its correct that animals are more aware of future and past events than humans

I know there's some cruel people on these forums. But I'm astonished that some can defend this slaughter.
Like I said could poor old synchronised make it more clear he didn't want to race. Then gets chased across the county to hs death. What a way to goCry

Jermaine... please stay away from any code of rugby then, it will be too much for you. And don't ever turn your tv on when there's boxing on.. or you'll end up in rehab.

The sight of the foaming traumatised synchronised chucking A P off in terror before being chased and forced to run to it's death will stay with me for years

Foaming and traumatised before chucking AP off in terror????

Horse is spooked by something, does a jink, AP ends up on the deck. Happens.

i know it is sad that two horses were killed in the national and it is a dangerous sport but just remember that a couple of weeks ago three horses died in a two mile flat race at the dubai carnival.

horses were born to run and many get injured in the fields at home what wil we suggest soon that we tie them up so they cannot move and so be safe.

again i say it is very sad to see any animals suffer or die for our enjoyment but quality of life is important to is it not.Love
