What a **** up,they only had a full circuit to doll off the fence.

Terrible. Sizing Europe's name would have been even more legendary winning another cc.
Poor horse. I'm 1.2 he lost so much momentum he should have won |
By:
If there was any doubt but that racing in this country is run by incompetant amateurs,it has just been erased.

Richard Johnson is being stretchered off but did want to walk into the ambulance but they wouldn't let. So that's a good sign.
That was an awful incident. |
By:
You can't expect someone to stand on the course waving a flag.
They seem to manage it elsewhere. |
By:
tbf, the mistake at the 3rd last was what really cost him, he was into that rhythm we keep hearing about and that mistake knocked it right out of him and left him susceptible to a quicker one coming by , which happened.
By:
Speaking of Formula 1, they could do with the big flashing lights to indicate to bypass a fence, particularly at big meetings like this, one tiny flag is an embarrassment!
By:
MAKE NO MISTAKE THE SPORT IS NOT SAFE IN THEIR HANDS .
By:
fcuking ridiculous. channel 4 just brushing it under the carpet. Sizing needed to jump the last
By:
what a joke....
They should've made the decision straight away and closed the fence off with all the warnings. shambles for a championship race OR FOR THAT MATTER...any race. It definetly cost Sizing Europe....the indecision after the 2nd last allowed Finian's to get back into the race. |
By:
The horse had to be snatched up going up the hill, you dont regain that momentum at the end of a race.
By:
I suspect if Geraghty had been on the inside of Lynch he'd have jumped the end of that fence with the possibility of Lynch going round it and the race being an even bigger farce
By:
the long run in suited the speed horse and Francombe says it was the same for both...mor on. the jockey on SE stopped riding for a moment too
By:
sizing europe is a more fluent jumper, so it certainly didn't help his chances.
By:
Too many dithering snobs running this game.
By:
A whole circuit to doll it off and put a rope at an angle which would have been obvious - instead a man with a hanky standing in the crowd. Disgraceful.
By:
yes...and they could adopt another F1 feature...
a safety horse....like the F1 safety car..... give them time to get the flags out. |
By:
Too true Angel.
Tweed jacket brigade should be pensioned off. |
By:
The guy at the presentation wanted to say the best 2 mile chasers jumping the last fence side by side, ****ing idiot
By:
THRILLING RENEWAL MY FCKING ERSE
COMPLETE SHAMBLES ,A FARCE AND AN EMBARASSMENT sweep sweep sweep |
By:
Not into the horses but even a layman like me can see that the incident cost that horse the win, would have been fuming if I had money on that horse and that occurred. Can they not do an stewards enquiry for that kind of thing?
By:
They're inbreds!
By:
length of mine tape with Danger landmines would have done the trick
By:
Too many Nigels
By:
The guy with the flag did go out on the course - and you are told to put the boards directly in front of the hazard on the opposite side of fence - so they did the right thing

The Stewards are a bunch of thjick twats with that statement they just issued. What a set of planks
By:
This is utter bollocks , those boards had to be spread across the fence and there would have been no doubt , if i was sat on top of one of those horses i would have jumped the last , im sure ive seen parts of fences dolled off in the past and they've still jumped them.
