watchit, I have just come across this thread and am a bit surprised

re. your comments about Aldi, I shop there once a week and I can

honestly say that for Orange Juice, free range Chicken, various Cheeses

amongst many other things the quality in my view is 1st class and the

savings are considerable.   By the way when I have bought my few things

at Aldi my next stop is Marksies where I admit the quality is good but

the prices are sky high.   Good luck with your punting I for one will

not be investing a copper coin at Cheltenham cant stand the place these

days all the hype does my head in.

watchit, you should try Aldi and whilst you are at it, if there is one close to you

pop into Farm Foods, some of there prices are very competitive especially Milk.

Glad you like Cheltenham used to love it myself and for thirty years never missed

going to the Festival, but for the last ten years or so the place has been taken

over by cant and hype and I just cant be arsed with it. Good luck once again.

Hibby, before my youngest daughters (twins) left home to go to Uni

we were shopping in Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco and Marksie and

spending around £160 per week on the average shop, since the Girls

have been living away we have discovered shops like Aldi and Farm

Foods and we are eating like Lords for not much more than £70 per week.
