Is company policy.
your a dirty filthy arber and should be shot. |
By:
is rather ironic then. i would consider that they probably have one of the biggest accounts on bf. dirty filthy arbers!!

most managers are just thick stupid thats why they do the job cant get anything else, nowadays who in their right mind would do their job

Go in tomorrow and if he asks you to leave again smack him on the hooter with your iphone mate.

Must agree, mobiles are a pain.Surely if you have to make or receive a call you should go outside, only good manners.Manager probably thinks customers are betting elsewhere and just using the shop for prices etc.
By:
stick on a 10p accumulator, cant say anything then.
By:
Stick £25 quid on the Pricewise selection, and pay for it in one penny pieces.

i would like to add that i normally find laddies staff friendly and helpful. the one other manager that i spoke to about this gave me the customer service number and said it wasnt company policy and that i should report him if i felt like it.
its not like i set up a laptop and was trying to bet in running. should proably just have a moan to their customer service though i know that wont do any good. so i suppose im just blowing off some steam on here. i just cant think of any other business where you give someone a thousand pounds of business in a day and get treated like that while i was just sitting down , not bothering anyone and minding my own business. |

man has phone = dirty arber.

Funnily enough I was looking at betfair on my mobile phone OUTSIDE of a Laddies shop and I was dragged inside and given a £5 free play on the FOBTS.....

Going into shop. not using their product, using a competitors and getting chucked out? Disbloodygraceful! Bit like the bloke that got chucked out a KFC for eating his hotdog in there, or the feller who took a can of beer into a pub and got chucked out - what is the world coming to?
By:
Spyker, the man had aleady spent a grand with them ffs
maybe you shouldn't wear your clothes in a pub because you bought them somewhere else |
By:
The pub doesn't sell clothes though?
And how would they know he turned over cash in another venue? |
By:
Try being a bit more discreet. I doubt you will have the phone long if you carry on waving it about in a betting shop
By:
oh sorry - i missed the bit where he says he's handed the manager of the shop a grand that very day (or at any point recently) - to me it looks like he said thousands over his lifetime (and prob on internet). Silly silly me..........
Stick a 20p tricast on the dogs ffs! |

It said other shops

Recent experiences in Ladbrokes shops have led me to form the strong opinion that managers should stop giving out free coffee and £5 roulette bets and start giving out free bars of soap.

unless they have a company policy and post it up. dont use mobile phones in here or you will get thrown out, i cant see what this manager was playing at.
1. reasons i posted. as a decent customer, i was affronted. 2. wanted to know if this was new and widespread. who cares what i was doing in their shop. ive seen drunks come in for a sleep and not get bothered. manager seemed a bit paranoid. and clueless, to tell yo the truth. seems its not company policy. |

You would'nt go into a restaurant and sit at a table not ordereing any food would you? Sounds fair enough to me
By:
You can go onto a racecourse or a tab in australia and use your iphone to your hearts content without being bothered. An absolute joke and I would have told him so and if you don't like it mate you can make me leave, I'm not disturbing anyone and minding my own business and if you physically lay a hand on me you'll be in trouble. Why shouldn't you be able to compare prices and obtain the best value for your money.

I joined said firm in 2002, instructed to be remain vigilant for customers using mobiles during my induction. Only ever had to ask one individual to leave, though he was taking images of the gantry.
I was aware of plenty that used other firms or platforms to obtain value and then frequented our shop to watch the afternoons racing, would never have dreamt of asking them to leave. Arbers or not, they added atmosphere. Hard to enforce now anyhow due to the proliferation of mobile technology. |

By:
sit there and politely tell them to call the the police thats what i say
By:
winker , i realise that thats what i should have done. he would have crapped his pants at that.
i was just angry and affronted. my involvement in the days racing was over though. i didnt have 30 mins to make him realise what a fa..y he was being. |
