Went to take the 6s about Oscar Whiskey only to find that R4 applies (no mention of R4 in the advert in RP).
They have been NRNB on the race AP rules apply.
They have Quevega and Zaidpour at 12s  who are not intended runners and several doubtful runners at 14s. The 6s will disappear come racetime.
This is the worst example of all the High st scams yet.

This cannot be true. If it is true and they admit it there should be a smear campaign all over twitter, RP etc. But still don't believe it can be true.

When Ladbr0kes went NRNB on the Gold Cup a while back there was a 'Rule 4 may apply at our discretion' proviso at the bottom of the prices.  This is even worse imo...

Surely just a  mistake that "rule 4 may apply" on their screens.

Can someone tell me weather there is a R4 or not I was shown the screen in the shop which said R4 will apply.
By:
IanP
When: 06 Mar 12 17:22
I can't see how they could be taking a R4 because no-one would be betting with them if they are.  It's not just the enhanced price horses, it would also apply to anything else you might back eg.  you aren't going to back Grand Crus in the Gold Cup with them in case there is a R4 if Kauto Star is a NR.
By:

If this the case then you must bet with Paddy who explicitly states that R4 will not apply.  Generally going the best prices about the favs anyway.  Shame they all can't be as clear as to what happens if there is a non-runner.

Sorry i'm still trying to work out how they can rule 4 an ante-post market. The very notion is impossible surely. Rule 4 is only applicable after final declarations. End of.

If they want to offer silly prices nrnb, that is their look out, but rule 4 can't be used as a get out clause.

Im confused guys -The bet I had today was on OWhiskey at 6s. I was told that its NRNB BUT R4a will apply.
I did not ask about any other so called AP prices. Can anyone confirm that it was some sort of error. I did see the R4 message on the screen.

Sorry i'm still trying to work out how they can rule 4 an ante-post market

The whole essence of AP is if your horse does not run you do your dough, if they are saying NRNB then in my mind it is no longer an anti post bet, just because there is a week to go your still in AP mode, once stakes are returned for a NR  then the AP factor goes out the window as far as I am concerned.
The fact some bookies are not doing Rule 4 could be construed as a concession.

The World Hurdle is not classed as ante-post on the Hills site either.

R4 on these offers your offering on a ante post market??

No Sir, why on earth would you think that? Ante-post is ante-post. Fairly certain we can't take a R4 until after final decs.

It would appear people would think that because you had it on your screens today Miss Miller but as per usual Hills cannot accept that they made an error.

Somebody asked Kate Miller on twitter. She's put it to bed there. There's no such thing as rule 4 before final declarations. If you've got 6/1 on Oscar Whiskey, it can't be adjusted by rule 4.

It is the way she replies to the bloke Tucho - no need for her manner. I see she used to work in "late payment collection" for Amex - a role I am certain she will of loved!
