I think I called most things right on this thread, if I do say so myself.

I have just backed Hughes again at 1-9 seems like money for old rope to me,

hope it does not turn out to be famous last words.

To put this jockey thing into context will some one hazard a guess and

inform me who is the next jockey to hit a 100 going to be and when will it

be, that is the important part of the question.

Buick will be next to 100 as SDS is missing 6 days.
However it won't be till September 18th

Nirnaeth, where will Hughes be by then? out of sight.

Just spoke to a good friend who speaks to loads of people at the Hannon yard. He says that Hannon Sr is happy with his horses for the first time this season this week. They have not been firing properly and he is now convinced they have all come to hand.

Scary thought for anyone racing one of his decent ones. They are still imporving too!

That means well handicapped horses for anything that has a mark already. Follow him in nursurys for sure...

Hughes will be 40 clear of SDS within 2 weeks. I've also been told Moore wont be riding again this season..

So Hughes 25 clear of SDS. Moore wont be riding for the rest of the season.

SDS has ridden an average of 18 winners a month.

He has 6 days off this month and has said he might need a couple more off after his ankle injury today.

The numbers dont lie. If Hughes got injured tomorrow and SDS rode at the same rate he has all season he would only win by about 10 winners.

Thats if Hughes didnt win another race this season!..

How can you still get 8% on your money on the exchanges? Madness.

Add to that Julie Woods horse is supposed to hack up in the 8pm to add to his win tally, he worked like a machine last week.

Really hope he wins it as think he is an all round superior jockey to sds.

agree queen bee,been at home quite a bit recently and watched them both in action a lot and hughes is a much,much better jockey,look no further than the race de sousa has just won even allowing for his mount's greenness.

Blimey, 140 is a bit conservative wee eck. With the form of the Hannon horses, plus the decent outside rides he's getting, I'd have easily north of 150 as my fav.

In another 7-10 days it will be statistically improbable for Hughes to get beaten.

Today is pretty much the day where SDS can't win.

He has ridden at 15% all season. If he rides the same number of horses per week for the last 8 weeks he will ride 30 winners.

In the 26 weeks of the season so far SDS has ridden an average of 25 runners a week @ 15% win rate.

If he rides 26 runners a week for the last 8 weeks @ 15% he will ride 30 winners.

Hughes is 32 clear.

Hughes wins this year even if he doesnt ride another winner.

Bookies should be paying out.

Hughes fires in 2 more winnners with Hannon runners just about in top form. I have been told that Hannon has at least 20 2 year olds that they think will win once or twice before the end of thier season on thier current hanidcap marks. AND They still have around 15 newcomers that they think are nailed on to win first time out...

It's not personal. SDS is a good jockey. Nothing better than that though.

I'm just happy that Hughes has won this thing in a canter despite the JC banning him unfairly for a month at the start of the season.

I guess it works out at around 22% APR. That is better than any savigns account! And more chance of a bank going bust than Hughes not winning the title!!!

Betfred have just revealed they are paying out on Richard Hughes as the winner of this year's Flat jockeys championship.

He leads by 41 and spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: "Richard Hughes is home and hosed as far as we're concerned."

I suggest that people call them just to be amazed at how pathetic bookmakers can be. It's hardly the first time they treat thier customers with contempt..

I have over £2000 to collect from Laddies if Hughes wins the

championship but honestly cannot understand why folk are griping

because they have not paid out, people who owe them money over

losers on the championship who have accounts wont be billed until
