Horse racing versus backwoods donkey derbys. Frankel different class, different planet, different everything. Unbeatable.

No matter where you come from or on what kind of track you race on or at what distance, 9.98 seconds for 200m (furlong is 201.168m) is insane.

And that fact is that in Australia any 600m sectional time of less than 33 seconds is genuinely fast. Black Caviar today ran the last 600 in 31.78, with the last 200 in 11.4 (meaning she slowed up).

Does this mean she'd beat frankel? Of course not. Not even sure she could do it over 7f let a lone a mile. But the fact is if she is able to get the distance then she is not going to destroyed by him, it's just not physically possible if she runs the speed she did today that something could beat her by more than a small amount.

Fyi, I have 0 idea who would actually win (assuming a mile isn't too long for her). And frankly I don't see how anyone else can have much of a clue except to say they're both freaks and it would be close. I think people's flags are blocking their views.

it wouldn't surprise me if frankel turns out to be a flop this season, hope not but wouldn't be the first that doesn't carry the sparkle and train on

black caviar is mopping up weak races but there will come a point when either they go to the well once too often or she meets something that won't back out, in a battle i think she'll fold, especially if they come here in the summer

How was today not a battle? Hay List ran a 10.04 sectional then a 10.43 and she responded with 9.98 and 10.40 and broke his back, then eased up a bit in the last furlong (well the last bit of it).

Hay List has only lost 7 races in his career, 5 to black caviar. The other 2 was when he was not anywhere near his best.

people just refuse to believe there's a horse on the other side of the world who has beaten all before her and hasn't looking like getting beaten, only today did she look like it but she was there to be beaten

going from 7f to 5f within a 7 day time frame is such a hard thing to do, horses get spent to the paddock for 4-6 weeks normally to do such a thing, she did in 1 week against the best sprinters we got, I don't care how much bias you have, you have to respect the quality of our sprinters, we've won your prestigious king's stand numerous times with horses who are not mentioned in the same breathe as Black Caviar

just like I respect your staying ranks, you have to respect our sprinting ranks, if you don't then you're putting yourself at a disadvantage

I know Frankel is a machine but much like BC, connections haven't risked him by taking on distances which he probably could run out but they don't want to do it for whatever reasons, he also didn't run out of his same age group until he ran in that race where Rewilding broke down (I can't remember the name of it sadly) and then when he won it people were having masturbation sessions over him, both will probably retire unbeaten although with BC I get the feeling this is her swansong, 1 year ago Moody wouldn't have a bar of sending her over to other countries, he use to infamously say "why cant they come to us" but now he's looking to get her racing everywhere and having her backup in a 5f race 1 week after running 7f certainly made it look like "this is your last chance to come see her" sort of thing

Frankel is the best in the world at 7/8furlongs. Caviar is the best in the world at 5/6furlongs.
They are both awesome. That performance today was 3 hundredths off the course record. There isn't a sprinter in the UK that could have gone with her for more than 3 furlongs.
Perhaps Frankel could be as good or better than her over 5/6 f. we'll never know.
Perhaps she could be as good or better than him over 8 fur. We may never know.
So,unless they meet ,at any distance ,what is the point in comparing them. They are both phenomenal.

If Black Caviar is inferior to Frankel then why is the betting with "Sportingbet" BC 1.6 V Frankel 2.3,for when they are to meet in July in U.K.

I say let them meet over 7f in a 2 horse race that way pace makers can't be used.

If Black Caviar goes to Ascot it will be the July Cup i feel. A nothing race compared to the Queen Anne. Personally i think that they should meet at the Breeders Cup.

Australia has an incredible mare called Black Caviar who everyone should enjoy. Outside of her the majority of turf horses are poor but run for good prize money.

Britain has an incredible horse called Frankel who everyone should enjoy. Outside of him the majority of turf horse are quite good but run for poor prize money.

Let's all be friends.

Hay List is a top quality in his own right. So unlucky to be around the same time as her. He would be a major player in either sprint at Ascot.

Black Caviar sub 10 seconds for one of her sections. utterly impressive. Would blow the Golden Jubilee wide apart.

If they want to take on Frankel (doubt they will) then 1st time out in the Lockinge might be their best option. Its not too long after Dubai to keep on the go for.

On another note...When you think about it....it isnt totally impossible that Frankel could end up racing against her and another superstar...Orfevre.

Hilarious thread, not hard to tell who the 'part timers' on here are. Some wouldn't have the faintest idea how to assess a racehorse. The likes of EVILROYSLADE, ANALOGS DAUGHTER, 2THE MAX probably have not even seen a video on the topic they are discussing.

Basically, no horse in the history of racing can run a 600 sectional like we saw yesterday, and breaking 10 sec for the furlong, well, those of you in the northern hemisphere that do unsterstand racing would know that is literally unbeatable. Nothing can go with that.

Forumites Roggrain and Tommyjone were the two on here that have made a very good , seemingly unbiased assessment, the Black Caviar/Frankel debate is largely futile. Both clearly incredible horses, only jealousy ensures anyone talking down either of them.

What we saw yesterday was possibly the best 'on the clock' performance ever seen on a racetrack. Those of you wanting to knock that are proving yourselves to nothing more than jealous mug punters
