Has anyone had any dealings with this bookies. I asked for my 5k balance to be returned on the 14th of october. I am still waiting. Has anyone else had similar problems. I only want the money returned to the debit card from where it came.

had to send a copy of passport and a utility bill.

now being run around the houses.. send another copy of the passport with the bottom 2 lines showing... send a bank statement instead of a utilities bill etc..

i have no other options apart from trying these smaller outfits.

has anyone else had dealings with these guys.

cheers

Had a similar problem. got the runaround for about a week. they have a max withdraw in 1 month of 2k I think. then you need ID. you must be mad having that sort of money in an account that isnt with a main stream bookmaker. I never had more than 500 in but used to withdraw anytime it got above that. I got paid in the end.so dont worry.

i cant get an account with a main stream bookmaker and yes I realise that i must have been mad.

i resorted to putting this post up to see just how mad I had been.

surprisingly when I told them that I had put this post up, and gave them a link to it , they have replied straight away though the reply wasnt exactly reassuring or satisfactory...

We thank you for confirming that the Virgin media bill is not a mobile telephone bill and sending us a copy of passport with a complete encoding.   These will be checked later today and you will be notified once it is complete.

We appreacite your patience.

Why would they need the complete 'encoding'?  As far as I'm aware it is impossible for AN Other to access a database of passport numbers to verify an identity?  I had to send off a photocopy of a passport in similar circumstances and blanked out practically all the data bar the odd number, got paid.

they seem to say that it is something to do with isle of man law..

its good to hear that someone else has been paid and they do seem to be part of the isle of man system like everyone else..

however they dont seem very eager to pay up and its good at least that this sort of forum is here to highlight problems like this..

the original passport photo should have been fine... it didnt have the bottom 2 lines showing but it had everything else... the important thing would probably be my signature to anyone, but that is really irrelevant to an account that has been set up online..

bottom line is i would prefer that companies who are paid cash immediately from my account to be reasonably prompt in paying it back when i ask. its not their money. its mines.

even he part where they say someone will look at it later today doesnt sound very reassuring..

When you tried to withdraw the money from them, did it actually say they wouldn't do it at the time? Or did they just not pay it in to your bank account and you had to chase them up?

I'm only asking as I've made a few withdrawals with them too but I haven't checked my bank account to see if they paid me back (lazy / stupid - one of the two, or both!).

My concern with the smaller online bookies is not so much getting paid, more about the data they hold and who has access to it.  Name, address, date of birth, passport number, bank account details, security questions, photo - not the sort of information I would want every 'Tom, **** and Harry' to have access to.  I can understand laws around money laundering but a check of the electoral role is enough for most organisations to conduct business with customers.

Why are they really asking for this information though. Is it really as simple as to just to delay paying out?
Report obratzov1 November 22, 2011 10:39 AM GMT
they want you to go through this palaver of sending copies of bills and a copy of a passport if they are going to pay out more than 3k in a month...

most other bookies ive dealt with would be able to pay out 10 to 20k in a day without all of this mucking about.

thats all fine.. but once they start to say the copy of your passport needs to be done like this and that utility bill you sent us is a mobile phone bill which we cant accept, you start to think again.. the bill isnt a mobile phone bill.

i only gave them a go as i dont have any other options...

See what happens..they can't not pay you, the passport thing is genuine, they need to see the complete encoding however if they continue to mess you around there are things you can do that will make them payout.  From what I can see, they are legit: they definitely aren't delaying things because they can't afford to pay you.

thanks carlsberg.. you are probably right, they will pay out, but a gentle nudge on here might help them get their finger out.

zealot. i might be clueless. then again maybe im not. perhaps you should do a simple search on my forum posts before offering to lay me at sp. its easy.. just put obratzov1 in the search box.. unfortunately putting in zealot just came out with some drivel about knights pass..

sorry to pass on your kind offer but i dont think we would be doing business for very long.. cheers.

these guys have some neck...

please note i asked for this withdrawal on 14th oct...

Thank you for forwarding the ID documents that we requested.

I am pleased to inform you that our checks are now complete and your account is now authorised for all transactions.

Please re-submit your withdrawal request again if you wish.

Once again I would like to thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Kind Regards,

after all of this they are asking me to ask them again..

it will be impossible to do this from the account as it was taken out immediately..

would not advise this crowd to anyone, unless of course you dont plan on making any withdrawals..

You should just phone them immediately, they will fix it over the phone.  In anycase, the longer this thread stays bumped, the more eyes that see it and if they are a legit company like I think they are, they invest money into online reputation management and it isn't cheap, your 5k wouldn't even look at a few months of proper rep management so they are being silly now.  If the money isn't available to withdraw from your account do it over the phone.
