I'm surprised that Roy hasn't been persuaded by his fellow-board members to fall on his sword yet.
Could it be that it's 'calling in favours' time?
We've got the new guy who probably thinks it's down to Roy that he got the job so there's bound to be some misguided loyalty there.
Then there's the guy brought in from the training ranks. I imagine he gets on well with Roy and believes he owes his new-found status to him.
What about the guy who was promoted from tea-maker to personal assistant/publicist? I can't see him rocking the boat or the cradle.
Then there's the hangers-on and gin and tonic set, most of whom are probably far too comfortable to see beyond the ends of their noses.
No, if you ask me, I reckon Roy's got a good few more years left in his elevated position. Just can't see any one of the lily-livered lot of them daring to step out of line.
