1) In what other sport could a QC who represents the governing body on legal matters fall foul of the rules of the sport causing his jockey to incur a suspension? Watch the soap opera unfold. 2) The whip rules and the ongoing debate as a result - hour after hour, day after day you can hear it discussed on 415 and 432. 3) Inaccurate going reports and clerks altering the distance of races without informing the public - see also selective watering 4) Top class analysis from the likes of Tony Ennis, Daryl Williams, Zoe Bird, Paul Morrison, Thommo and Peter Naughton (the ethical edge) 5) The 2012 fixture list - an interesting read or so I am led to believe, not seen it yet though. 6) 8 race cards full of dross with divisions of low-grade handicaps, amateur races and classifed stakes. 7) Racing for change 8) The cramming of nearly every good or half decent race into a Saturday during the Flat season, 4 8-race cards with loads of big field handicaps following on from 5 days of dross in the main. 9) Horses being entered in races for the specific purpose of laying them (I am not going to go down the road of naming names) 10) Polytrack bumpers - Thrilling and informative.
Agree about Wolverhampton Overseas, though in part some of the drifters/gambles are magnified by a complete lack of liquidity at Friday and (particularly) Saturday night meetings. As for number 4, I could give a comprehensive list, but I have already spent more time on this thread than some of the TV analysts do on their preparation for a day's work. Dave Nevison was king of the bluffers today.

Luke Harvey and the "Weavershark" probably should have had a mention, though at least the don't take themselves seriously whereas those listed above appear to do so and some of them have even had tipping lines.

Fair shout watchit, I didn't actually mean today in the literal sense but that ride and the lack of analysis on ATR neatly encapsulated much of what is wrong with the sport.

Often they don't have time to analyse when they have a lot of meetings but if they didn't say anything about that ride today it is a damning indictment.

High quality of stewarding at "some of the more far flung areas of the country". Presumably Specsavers successfully offered officials new glasses prior to racing at Chepstow yesterday?
