just because he hasnt said it, doesnt mean he wont. if hes as good at the job as he is at talking he will be an asset.
Report Rider • October 25, 2011 5:38 PM BST
well he's going to working closely with the bookmakers so i think that says it all
Report elise • October 25, 2011 5:41 PM BST

Report elise • October 25, 2011 5:41 PM BST

what has bittar said regarding punters?
Report elise • October 25, 2011 5:42 PM BST
interview with chapman, commenting on how important they are to uk racing etc mag
Report Rider • October 25, 2011 5:44 PM BST
yes elise, punters, bookmakers make a pretty poor job of collecting it (because they quite like punters to bet on things that do not require levy to come from their profits)
Report coolkal • October 25, 2011 5:44 PM BST
Came across as a fence sitter.  Not what is needed
Report Rider • October 25, 2011 5:48 PM BST
the cliche about punters being important is what you will hear from anyone at the bha, doesnt mean a thing
Report elise • October 25, 2011 5:49 PM BST
you'd best ask for him to resign then
Report Rider • October 25, 2011 5:51 PM BST
whilst he does have a pretty hopeless task it would have been nice to hear something original
Report elise • October 25, 2011 5:51 PM BST
should we not give him a chance?
Report pedrobob • October 26, 2011 10:13 AM BST
thought he had sound ideas, got his personal priorities absolutely right (ie the levy and prizemoney), and fundamental to everything (which some at the current BHA appeared to have fogotten) is that it's the horses on the racetrack that are the most important thing.
So Elise is correct, at least give the guy a chance
Report Arklearkle • October 26, 2011 10:17 AM BST
Yes give him a chance.
Report Yank • October 26, 2011 12:43 PM BST
As he isnt Paulie boy, he is better.
Report Rider • October 26, 2011 1:22 PM BST
pedrobob, are you the sort of person who thinks 10 heads in a row means we are due a tail ? lol, if your livelihood depends on racing start making alternative arrangements, just in case, rather than keep giving chances, charitable as it is of you
