First we have the terrible jumper, that romps home on the snaff
Now we have, hoping for a Big race, that duly gets stuffed out of sight.

Is this guy for real????

Drifted from 2.42 out to 2.84 just before the off as well!! - Obviously "someone" didn't share Mr Nicholls' confidence!
Report foxy top • October 25, 2011 2:52 PM BST

Had 3 winners this weekend yet none featured in his 'best 3 bets' in his betfair column.  All these were stuffed including big odds on mastermind.

For me it is a case of reading between the lines as opposed to reading the lines.

I was convinced he would give the Wylies a winner on their first runner for him today.

That was his nap express leader, beat again

If he had a proper 2nd string jockey then the result might have been different Sad
Report Ibrahima Sonko • October 25, 2011 4:28 PM BST
Just because PN thinks his horse will doesnt mean it will.

hth.
Report mincer11 • October 25, 2011 4:29 PM BST
Playthegameboy, you are correct. The point that people seem to miss is that the jockey makes the trainer, and not the other way round.History is littered with examples of it,most of these trainers good form is directly linked to being able to call on a top rider. When these riders are unavailable then their form will dip.Walsh is the most important factor at Ditcheat,by a distance he is.

I don't think you can moan at the Express Leader selection
Report mincer11 • October 25, 2011 4:34 PM BST
It was quite obviously thought by Nicholls to be well handicapped tallywagger,it wasnt .Whether you can moan or not i dont know, but you wont be collecting all the same
Report buddeliea • October 25, 2011 4:57 PM BST

dont take a whole lot of notice of their opinions when punting, form is there for all to see,so make me own mind up,only me to blame then when it goes t1ts up!!

Spot on, Budd.

Mincer, as Express Leader finished a clear 2nd on what possible grounds can you say he is not well handicapped ?
Report neill d • October 25, 2011 5:39 PM BST
He gave a good word for Domtaline a few weekends ago off 130 and that won, give him another few weeks imo. He has spent heavily and I think he'll have some crop of novices this year.
