i have been checking on dozens of tipsters for a fair while now and whilst some of them make a profit every so often there is only 1 who has made me a profit every single year and with him you have to accept the inevitable long losing runs and having bets restricted and accounts closed down.
there are a couple of good free ones on my list but it really does seem a case of 'no easy route to success via betting. u only get out what u put in.

i have lost loads for years but as soon as u actually have the cheek to make money everyone closes u down.
and as for paying 4000 a year for tips, that is completely insane in my opinion. the most i have paid is 60 per month and even then u dont get a profit half the time.

thanks for that tinca tinca, i used to pay £50 a month a few years back, didnt do too bad but then he seemed to pack in! is it not worth me looking round online then, or maybe there's some guys on the forum worth following??

Pete, there are plenty of people on here who will tell you easy money is very hard to come by.
Personally I think you get alot more satisfaction from making your own selections.
If because of the amount of racing you don't have time to check everything out you could try sticking to certain areas.
ie-
Group races
or handicaps
or certain distances
Sprinters,
Milers
middle distance or staying events.

I probably would not suggest following too many on here.

Anyway good luck with your future punting.

tbh Pete, regarding the people on this forum the best thing to do is to have a look through their threads and maybe follow them for a while without putting any money on their tips (or advice). you will soon see who are the genuine ones. hth and be lucky :)

short priced favourites in handicaps is the way to go, in my opinion

oh and stay away from last time out winners that have won within the past 6 days when laying
i have learned this the hard way

anyway all the best, and i hope you make loads of cash Happy
