With a great flat season all but over, its now time 2 get ready for another great season over the jumps. I must admit iam more of a flat race fan and gambler.
My bets on the NH are few&far between, as i have a ton max bet on any jumper, as on the flat it would be 4 times that. I have a gd strike rate on my max bets over the jumps and hopefully this season will be the same if not better.
I will start my 10 with some of the horses that did me some great turns last season.
1; Hurricane Fly, the champ Hurdler of last season, will take all the beating again.
2; Long Run, new star chaser on the block, am glad to say i kept the faith with him last season and had a gd bet on him in the Chelt GC. Will prob improve again this year which is not gd news for the rest.
3; Big Bucks, without doubt 1 of the best staying Hdles we have ever seen, and all being well he will dominate again this saeaon, a true star.
4;Peddlers Cross, a big fav of mine and gave me a nice little 1/2 forecast bet in the Champ Hdle last season. Cant wait 2 see him over fences, as he has it all 2 go 2 the very top in what will be a hot division this season, speed, class and guts, already had a little bit of the anti in the Arkle chase in march. I wish him well.
5; First Lieutenant, another that did me a gd turn at last seasons Chelt fest, he looks ever inch a 3mile chaser 2 me and i can see him being 1 of the main players in the RSA chase at Chelt in march. Another av had a little on anti P.
6;Finians Rainbow; a very smart nov ch last season and promises 2 be even better this season. He just needs 2 came down a bit in the early part of the races as he is a bit of a free going type. Hopefully with another year on his back he will be a bit more settled in his races. Could be a big player in the Champ Ch come march.
7;Sprinter Sacre; a top nov hdler last season, has always had the look of a top chaser in the making over 2m. Another 1 how needs 2 settle a bit better, big Arkle hope.
8;Grand Crus; any horse that can give Big Bucks a race as he did at Chelt last season is 1 to follow. Set 2 go nov ch this season and will take high rank in another hot division. Very classy, and likes chelt, which is a big plus.
9;Noble Prince, a very classy nov ch last season and another that did me a gd turn at last seasons chelt fest, needs 2 brush up that jumping a little, looks a nice type with the Ryanair ch in mind for march.
10; Junior&Chicago Grey; av cheated a bit here by giving thses 2 horses, well i have had a little bit on each already for next years G National. Junior was my nap of the chelt fest last season and was a very impressive winner (24Ls) Granted gd ground he would have a gd chance in the National. Chicago was a gd winner of last seasons 4m at the Chelt fest, the form of which has worked out very well ( the 2nd that day went on 2 win the Scot National) needs 2 brush up a little on the jumping front tho.
Hopefully these are some of the horses that will win me a gd few £££ on the jumps this season. Lets all hope this whip rule crap can be sorted out a bit more with the NH season in mind, as this 8 strokes biz is rubbish, in my view it should at least be 12.
Hope you all have a gd NH season folkes and make plenty £££.
Give us your 10 for the season to follow and between ourselves we will see who gives the best 10.  All the Best.

Very daring! You will put up Camelot next as a dark horse for the 2012 flat season......

Cheers 2 some of you folkes and best of luck with the 10 to follow in the Racing Post.
As for the Camalot dark horse chap, if u had read my 2yo views about 7 weeks ago u would have seen Camalot as one of my eye catching 2yos for the season so far. I have aready got ew anti post bets on him with Hills & Betfair at 16s & 17.5 for the Derby, so stick that in your bitter little pipe and smoke it. You were prob 1 of the mugs on here that bet against him last Sat.
I like 2 put my money where my mouth is and back my sound judgement, and Camelot is 1 of a few that i have already bet for next years classics.
You really need 2 get your facts right before you make your dumb ass wise cracks. Stick with me & and u might win & learn something.

No you are right Mille you shrewdie. Hurricane Fly will take all the beating and Long Run is the new star chaser on the block is really great stuff! King George and Gold cup winner already but still a new star chaser on the block! You dug deep for this preview.

On another note I do apologise for Camelot as I didnt see that and stand corrected- that does indeed look a fantastic bet now. I left the race on saturday as its form was hugely suspect after only one run but it did look a beast and so it proved. I hope it trains on for you.

A bit harsh on the OP,the list is nailed to finish in the top 10,000.Camelot was a shrewd dark horse tbh,the barman in my local had never heard of it.

apparently with the new whip rules, the 10 to follow comp has been suspended and has been replaced by the 10 to finish comp.

Your wasting your time miller. this forums full of morons. remember those days in the bookies where you had the sweaty bloke smoking a roll up screaming fall at the horse in front of his. those morons have progressed to this forum. Ive said it for a long time, we need a forum for those that actually have something to say. instead of those that just like to belittle anyone with an opinion.

Some of you need 2 learn 2 read a bit better, try night school or something like that. Who said any of the 10 NH horses were dark horses? As for the "after timer jibe" all of my gambling friends won big at the Chelt Fest last season as i did, it was 1 of the best for the punters of strongly fancied horses there has been. If you did not win at Chelt last season, then u are in the wrong game and should stick 2 going 2 the bingo with your gran!!

Unlike you OP,some of us posted our fancies pre-Chelt and cleaned up,including the tricast in the GC.

Nothing wrong with your TTTF entry other than the 5,000 other people with the same entry.hthLaugh

Some of us did not join until Aug this year, (me)
pesronally Elise i dont really care what u make of my posts on here, i for 1 like 2 hear about punters doing well, past or prescent.
My big interest is in flat racing and always will be, and already have a gd book of anti P bets on already( Maybe 8s,Dabirsim 18s,
Camelot 16s&17.5 ew, Imperial Monarch 25s&31.0 ew, Wading 20s ew.
In the NH, Peddlers Cross 7s, First Lieutennant 12s ew,
Grands Crus 9.8, Junior 25s & Chicago Grey 40s.
My big hope for the NH season is Peddlers Cross, i think 7s is a fair price for the Arkle chase, and until i see different i will bet him with full confidence in all his races this season if i can get odds against him.
For me, taking an early view on the big races on the flat and jumps and playing in the anti post market, can be some of the best VALUE there is 2 be had in racing.
Its not everybodys cup of tea as we all know the risks involved, but it has been gd 2 me over the years and 1 of the most important things in making profit from racing is to find out as early as poss what u are best at and stick 2 it, for me betting anti post is a part of that.
I would like 2 wish you all a very profitable NH season and lets hope the Chelt Fest in Mar 2012 is again very punter friendly.
GO ON PEDDLERS MY SON!!!
