quick question ? if you backed horse , would you want a jockey to give the horse a few slaps to win , or settle for second , ?????

Is it only my jockey who can give his horse a few extra slaps to win?

Because if the other jockeys can also give theirs a few extra slaps, how am I better off? They can't all win.
