People who think public perception does not matter should tell us who will fund the sport if sponsors walk away.

900 whip offences a year because the BHA introduced new lower strokes rules.
it's been said before on here but everytime the BHA reduce the number of strokes it simply gives idiots like these more ammo.
they are either too thick or too devious to accept that jockeys are hitting horses much less but that there are more whip offences because of new stringent rules.

Roly Owers. Spouting the type of rubbish that the BHA has based these rules on. Welcome to racing run by the animal rights brigade.

xmoneyx: Grand National viewers did complain about the stick.

In fact, these should be known as the Jason Maguire memorial whip rules.

900 whip offences, what sort of percentage is that with horses ridden per year ?

must be very low.

the BHA must be really happy to have their own man inside the PJA

What odds against anyone on the BHA ever admitting they've made a mistake (any issue over next say 12 months)?
Listening to Steir is like listening to a politician. Doesn't actually lie but doesn't tell the whole truth !

Ramruna. How many viewers complained about the whip to the BBC? (By the way I know the answer just want to find out what you are getting at)

Too late for silly rhetorical questions roggrain. The whip debate is  over and we are on to the Racing Post Trophy and Old Roan Chase. Get with the programme!

Steir and Darley must go. The other geezer I couldn't give a cr a p about. He was there for the taking and the C4 team missed it.

Where was the punters representative? Its our money they are distributing do't we have a say other than tweets?
How come a 'rule for cheats' never came up?

Ridiculous.

And 'whip offences' more often refer to hitting in the wrong place not over use of the whip.

What I would like to know is how many 'whip offences' were based upon number of hits.

Fair enough Ramruna. By the way. Almost 8 million viewers watched the Grand National. Apparently 8 complained. The whip debate is not over. It cannot be over or racing is destined to collapse.
