Mark Johnston has behaved seriously badly over Fairley.
He says: "We haven't seen him here for a few weeks and I don't really know what is going on, but it sort of fits with his attitude to riding for me which I never quite understood either." Johnston used him alongside Fanning on a daily basis right up until early June. He needed to let both know that de Sousa was going to be used more than either of them and he used two excuses. "Owners were increasingly reluctant to use him" and 'His mum phoned and took issue with the distance he was having to travel for one or two rides". I have always got on with Mark but he is intransigent and when he wants to get rid of Keith Dalgleish / Jason Weaver / Darryll Holland / Royston Ffrench / Kevin Darley he makes no bones about it. |
