By my reckoning Mush Mir should be long odds-on for this race. Fair enough it's only try and win over jumps included some sketchy jumping and he beat nothing out of the ordinary. However to help him concentrate on his jumping blinkers have been applied today and fighting fit I just cannot see him being beaten. Has already won four times on the AW this year and therefore is up for the battle.
His main rival Russian Flag has not been seen since April and based on last year's performance does not reach peak fitness after such a long absence. Besides which, I think that chasing is his forte and today's hurdles will find him tapped for toe at the business end.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Henderson has high hopes for the future of Mush Mir and so I do not expect a failure today.
There's not a lot between the first two in the betting at the moment and yet ATR's predictor has Russian Flag as its fourth choice in this five runner field.
Also worth mentioning that most of Mush Mir's wins have been when in small fields. Russian Flag has yet to win over hurdles, this being his first attempt over them for all of three years.

Mush Mir is a lay, looked a total dog last time.Plus all wins on the flat were when it was given an easy lead travelled on the bridle etc. don't think its suited to the jumps game.
