even the idea that the rspca have specified a specific number of whips is just ludicrous imo.

surely if u feel the whip is the problem, then u fight fo the removal of the whip instead of ....'u know what, 7 is fine, make it 7'.

just silly imo and undermines their argument!

The RSPCA have zero authority, and they don't give a feck about horses FACT

they refuse to care for them so they either get taken in by animal sanctuaries (my old dear works at one) destroyed (the RSPCA's preferred method) or they end up on a plate.

egner, forgive me for saying this, but you seem to have given less practical and intellectual thought to your request for a total ban than I would have expected from a man of your calibre.

I take it you are not used to riding horses?

if thats true brother mou then i take it the bha have taken it upon themselves to change the rule and if they arent changing it for the welfare of the horses(as they dont believe the whip is the problem) then why the fack have he specified a number allowed?

A statement from the RSPCA confirmed that they do not believe the cushioned whip causes any hurt to the animal whatsoever.

It's a genuine fact ilwab, they destroy animals due to "lack of funds" (even though they are building a multi miliion quid new hq) and they have no more legal powers than you or I.

I'm genuinely seeeething LaughCry

..there were around 800 breaches of the old whip rules in 2010....

rail against my opinion for a total ben if you like...but things cannot revert to the way they were when jockey were in such flagrant breach and downright disrespect of the rules.

"Animal Aid will continue to press for the BHA to be stripped of its regulatory function with regard to horse welfare. We will also continue mobilising public support for a total ban on the use of the whip in racing"

So why are the bha talking to them again?

McCoy, the Grand National winning, 16-time champion jump jockey, added: ‘The Professional Jockeys Association has worked closely with the Authority on the BHA review and I hope my colleagues will embrace the  proposed changes as they are in the best interest of the sport. I, for one, support the changes.’
