what exactly does "betfair starting price" and "industry starting price" mean?
at what point of time is timeform taking the numbers for it?

There is an official BF SP. It`s actually given on the market at the off if you click on the betting info for an individual horse. Don`t ask me how they work it out but I think there is an explanation somewhere on the site.

Betfair Sp - absolutely NOTHING to do with Timeform.
It is determined by the bets placed ON HERE, obviously.
The only Timeform connection is that ... the Betfair SP - along with the Industry SP - is shown on the Betfair/Timeform Results page - simply for for comparison purposes...
or in Betfair's case - a little justified propoganda.
