I'm very embarrassed for French racing. They have a lot of problems, but preventing Snow Fairy from taking part in the Darley Prix Jean Romanet on a technicality a few weeks ago is not one of them.

Then again, rules are rules so maybe Snow Fairy's connections just have to take it on the chin and make sure they get it right next time.

What does everyone else think?

C'mon otherwise I'll be thinking that some of you believe that abiding by the rules is something only us Brits need to do.

GG - i think the whip rule is a mess and has caused unnecessary and enormous embarassment to our sport this week, but, although he has just been done for 50k, I found his comments risible.

Me too RC. What's equally baffling is that given all the furore this week, Soumillon seems to be somewhat surprised that the rules, no matter how badly constructed they appear to be, are being rigidly enforced!

The British are the only ones to play fair, French have cheated at every sport.Also by controlling the E.U. finances they have systematically robbed the British purse through that corrupt organisation.The phrase no good deed goes unpunished springs to mind considering you bailed them out in two wars,their response oppose Britains interest at all costs and build a refugee centre at the site of the Euro Tunnel.
