Here's an example.
Workforce won just over 2.9million pounds last year, this year under 100k? How Come? Competitions still the same,oh wait NO IT ISNT |

Are you really been serious, you cant be! This is just someone with a new alias on the wind up nobody can be that stupid. I knew it had to be someone fishing. |

By:
Prove me wrong?

By:
You are been serious, backofcd anyone that uses the example of prizemoney won by a horse (who clearly hasnt trained on from a stable shockingly out of form) to rate the level of competition is pure ignorant and stupid. Ive proved you wrong constantily but your mild retardation is blocking you from seeing that.

Wait do you actually know what a horse is

Prize money we're not talking about 64 rated horses we're talking Group1 so prize money has value in this argument, idiot.
The facts are SYT is a lot more consistent against better competition who are breaking _OLD_ track records then STS or whoever wants to challenge him over 2000-2400. |

I would get a more logical debate talking to your fellow countryman Skippy. This game aint for you if thats the way your looking at it, good luck you need it :)

Harbinger broke track record time when beating Cape Blanco,Workforce by 10+ LENGTHS.
Bring on the next drunk! |
|
By:
BTW if you actually looked at the times STS ran the Arc course on slower ground faster than SYT did

That proves how strong the competition is now. Who's heard of Workforce this year?
|
|
By:
blah blah..You mean when STS got a inside barrier and a perfect run and probalbly had easy 6Ls on SYT?

backofcd you are away with the fairies and extremely stupid this will be a thread I will bump anytime I need a laugh. Good luck to you :)

Look, Is Usain Bolt not the best sprinter? What if he constantly won the 100M event but never broke the record.
Answer me that, instead of calling me a idiot when you cannot answer my questions but i can answer yours. |

If only racing was as simplistic as reading the form the way you do backofcd.
Look at Rip van Winkle's racing career and he was messed about by O'Brien with trips mainly due to being beaten so often by Sea The Stars and would go from a mile to 12f to 10f back to a mile and then back up to 10f again. In any other year RvW would have been a stand out horse but for STS. When RvW was beaten by Cape Blanco (no slouch either by the way) it was mainly because Johnny Murtagh and Tom Queally on Twice Over made the schoolboy error of racing one horse only, as in each other and let Cape Blanco get away and by the time they both decided to chase him instead of playing cat and mouse with each other, he had gone. Cape Blanco also beat Workforce so nice to see you cherry-pick your lines of form too but many good horses have run poor races in the Arc before like Authorized, Generous and Nashwan, so to take any horse's standing based purely on their Arc run would be a bit daft really. Just out of interest, do you honestly think SYT is genuinely 10L better than Workforce at 12f as opposed to only ½L better over 10f just because those were the differences between the two horse in the Arc and the Eclispe? Did the extra 2f really make that much difference or do you reckon that just maybe a horse like Workforce that had won the Arc the year before perhaps didn't actually run to form in this year's Arc? Let me give you a little clue and say that Snow Fairy was around 9L behind Workforce in the Eclipse and St Nicholas Abbey was also behind WF in the King George and yet both finished in front of him in the Arc. |

A very good rugby player who is carving up University/over20s,does that make him as good as player if he was to play in the Heineken cup?
|
|
By:
The point i'm making is SYT is facing stronger competition then to what your "great" horses raced against. And he's better then them by CONSTANTLY running a hell of a race. 4TH in the arc when he was parked in the car park. He's proven to be great but hes only been in your country for a year and hes clearly in a different training environment.
|
|
By:
That's quite a good rugby analogy for So You Think really, as in when he was racing in Australia (University/over20s) he looked good but then when he went to race against the big boys (and girls) in Europe (Heineken cup) he got put in his place almost as often as he won, with 4 wins and 3 defeats and it doesn't really look that good when you consider the first 2 wins in Ireland were no more than racecourse gallops and the other 2 wins were against horses running at 10f that are better at 12f.

Much like a horse from a country with historically 'average' middle distance horses consistently beating them well and then mixing it with top horses from another continent with historically top class middle distance horses and not being nearly as impressive you mean? Hmm i see your point - well made. |
|
By:
He Got put in his place?
You when mean Ryan Moore went at the 1200M Mark? Or when a on pacer drew barrier 14 in a big field? or has hes 8 runs into a prep and off a 2 week back up from the hardest race in europe? is thats really put in his place. How about when workforce and his stable mate tried to block in SYT but was still beaten. yes being beaten by half a length is getting PUT in his place; you're country is full of morons |
|
By:
Hey, What have England done in Australia? We've won more G1s in your country then you have in ours
|
|
By:
What a bizarre lot you aussies are - truly beezarrrrrr!
|
|
By:
Another fact-filled insight reply by the English!
|
|
By:
Because mate I've had it with your aussie hypocrisy and selective 'facts' that you lot churn out. It is truly baffling that (as a country it seems) you can't accept that SYT is a v good but not a top class horse when it has run to pretty much the same mark (128ish) in all it's runs over here that it did in your country. The mark of a very good but not a memorable horse - maybe it is over there but a mark of 128 over here is just that!
|
|
By:
Time form rating is "selective facts" and its a misleading because we all know time form get their ratings wrong
|
|
By:
That seems quite a lot of excuses for SYT backofcd, let me see if I can find an excuse for any of Frankel's defeat.....oops!
By the way, didn't SYT "go" at about the same place in the Prince of Wales, Eclipse and Irish Champion but the excuse of going too early was only used in the defeat? |
|
By:
Ive got no doubt in my mind that Frankel is super star status, but a TF of 200million when he's only won at 1400-1600, and repeating beating the same fields.
But then SYT and Frankel are different,Frankel hasn't gone out to 2000Metres and hes only a 3YO,Let's match him against Black Caviar or Helmet,Sepoy horses who are doing it JUST AS EASY even against older horses at 3years but only time form of 22 compared to 220million that is Frankel. |
|
By:
Thank god those of us who DARED to question this horses ability were proved correct.
Not that he is not a VERY nice horse but the utter bollox some mugs from down under have been spouting has made me larf like a loonie. He beat Yaks in Ireland early doors , then an egg and spoon race vs Workforce and has since been weel and truley put in his place by horse that will never be remembered as superstars. A decent German filly A half decent Godolphin inmate RIP ![]() And today by a horse beaten by Byword last lto who is decent enuff but no Frankel Next time one of these over hyped monsters comes over perhaps you could enter into a devate without acting like you have found the new Wonder Horse. Aussi racing aint all that, we will have Black Fish Eggs shoit to listen to now |
|
By:
Come One, Come All.
Like I said drew barrier 14,no chance. Ryan More Clearly HOOKED SYT,made his run before Frankels terrible ride and just lost 8 runs into a prep,2week break from the hardest race in Europe. A Very Very Very Good Horse who has been turned into nothing by another useless European trainer. His stride isn't even the same |
|

Your post about 4th in the Arc being a brilliant run cos he was in the car park Perhaps you could tell us where Snow Fairy was drawn that day in BEATING the great SYT and whilst she is a super filly she is not the best I have seen. Get a grip man ffs you are banging the same old boring Aussi drum SYT is decent , very good in fact but no more, he is not the best in Europe and NEVER will be so if he was the best in Aus then yer racing is second rate |
|
By:
Look at the many horses that have finished behind Frankel in all of his career runs and then look at the races they have gone on to win or had already won. Any other year horses like Canford Cliffs (older by the way, as are Rajsaman and Rio De la Plata and all beaten by Frankel) and Excelebration would be considered exceptional horses in their own right.
Excelebration would be on a run of 8 straight wins today and would have won by 3½L without Frankel and that's by 3½L from another horse going into the race off the back of 2 straight Gr1 wins too. |

Typical of the Aussie mentality
I have never met one yet who will admit to being WRONG Live with it Skippy, SYT is NOT as good as you claimed , APOB has trained gazzillions of top animals. Get old Bart The Fart to move here and prove himself like some of the week as pisss jockeys you have sent over. |
|
By:
Haylist dominated horses just as bad as BC is,Haylist was 3-4Ls clear of BC with 200M to go,Jockey gave it too slaps and it won by 3L;Please don't call it a donkey. Beat Star witness 3-4Ls without even trying;dont get me started.
Bart has proved himself, dominating England in the melbourne cup. |
|
By:
I'd stop now if I were you backofcd as I'm even starting to cringe for you after that "Bart has proved himself, dominating England in the melbourne cup" comment as there is so much wrong with that that I wouldn't even know where to start to put it right.......and that's not even anything against Bart Cummings either.
No doubt you will add "but his horse have beaten the English ones" and everything else that involves will go completely over your head. Lets put it this way though, none of the English horses sent over were anything like our best and some weren't even flat horses but if any of our top middle distance ones ran in the Melbourne Cup with only 8st 11lbs like So You Think did then I would expect them to scoot up even if trying the distance for the very first time. |
|
By:
Ok then backofcd - what mark do you give SYT, bearing in mind Snow Fairy has finished upsides 3 times now in varying conditions with the race run differently each time so they have to be given pretty much the same mark?
