Please dont trash my post - I am sick to death of forum trashers - Some people may be interested in this post, I wish to share my findings here with other people that are doing their best to win some money

Lay Robin Hoods Bay Kempton Park 20:20

First things first - Take a good look at these two races, Links provided below

Race 1 - Robin Hoods Bay - Monday September 19 2011 Kempton Park 16:30

http://horses.sportinglife.com/Video/Racing/0,27770,459955_3,00.html

Race 2 - Samarkand - Wednesday June 8 2011 Kempton Park 19:45

http://horses.sportinglife.com/Video/Racing/0,27770,437582_3,00.html

I feel I am correct in writing these were both very good performances over 12 Furlongs at this evenings venue - The first thing that caught my eye when comparing these 2 Races was that  Samarkand ran his race around the outside in a 13 runner field and jockey S Sanders looked very confident, Samarkand was kept out of trouble,  S Sanders knew that he would win his race by going the long way round

Robin Hoods Bay was also ridden with confidence by J P Spencer in his race - The difference being that this was a 5 runner field and Robin Hoods Bay was kept to the rail

Samarkand ran a longer race than Robin Hoods Bay yet completed it in a faster time

Samarkand - Winning Time: 2m 35.15s

Robin Hoods Bay - Winning Time: 2m 38.35s

I consider what I have posted above to be the first thing in favour of me laying
Robin Hoods Bay

So I then moved on to take a look at a very good form line (yes I know form often means nothing)

The form line is through a horse by the name of Area Fifty One

Samarkand was giving Area Fifty One a 1 lb start when taking into account the claim allowance of jockey J Rogers who rode Area Fifty One when they competed Wednesday June 8 2011
Samarkand won the race by 5 lengths

Robin Hoods Bay was receiving a 4 lb start from Area Fifty One when they competed
Monday September 19 2011
Robin Hoods Bay won the race by half a length

I and you no doubt appreciate that in both races the distances could have been much further

Samarkand is only giving Robin Hoods Bay a 1 lb start this evening

Robin Hoods Bay has to run 4 lb and 4.5 lengths better this evening if he is to finish level with Samarkand - These are my calculations using the above form line

Samarkand has since been sent off a warm Fav at Ascot Thursday June 16 2011
he did not run well and was eased down when beaten, there must have been something wrong, trainer mark Prescott has rested his gelding since June and I expect him to be fit for this AW Race and cross the winning line in front of Robin Hoods Bay

Should I be proven incorrect - I have several other horses running for me in this competetive handicap that are capable of beating   Robin Hoods Bay

cardifffc. Virgin and nick999 Thanks but -

Robin Hoods Bay beat Samarkand

Not to worry - The lay came off in a difficult handicap - I always (nearly always) like to have several running for me and that was definitely one of those races

Good luck to all of you, have a good night

Yep like I said it would be nice of you Inono - to post on the Anyone Fancy a Lay thread - what you are doing with the updating or otherwise of the NAP's table on there.

You only started it a couple of days ago - yet you suddenly stopped posting without explaination.

If it was too hard and time consuming for you to do then why not just say so.
