Its the same for all the jockeys they know the rules..
if you break the rules you  get a ban.. so don't break the rules

Its basically a racing for change initiative.

In the Review Group's own words, the whip "does not compromise the welfare of horses during a race."


The Review Group commissioned independent public opinion research from a leading sports research agency, SMG/YouGov, and found that:

"A large proportion of the population - particularly women and those with no interest in Racing - instinctively disagree with the use of the whip and think current penalties are too lenient."

As with most of this racing for change stuff it seems to be being carried out for the benefit of those who have no interest nor ever will have a genuine interest in the sport.

What other sport introduces rule changes during a season?

The make it up as you go along mob, who are not allowed to be criticised under any circumstances, can do anything they want.

I dread to think what other changes are planned. One thing you can be sure about, no one will be consulted beforehand. They always know best.

Lads when i say i'm no a fan of it i have actually being a part owner of 2 horses in the past, i lost interest i suppose in racing. But these new rules are just to play up to the media and the PC brigade.
