What sport are you interested in Rocket? It's just that I might be able to let you know how I feel about something that I'm not a fan of....

Its basically a racing for change initiative.

In the Review Group's own words, the whip "does not compromise the welfare of horses during a race."

The Review Group commissioned independent public opinion research from a leading sports research agency, SMG/YouGov, and found that:

"A large proportion of the population - particularly women and those with no interest in Racing - instinctively disagree with the use of the whip and think current penalties are too lenient."

As with most of this racing for change stuff it seems to be being carried out for the benefit of those who have no interest nor ever will have a genuine interest in the sport.

What other sport introduces rule changes during a season?

The make it up as you go along mob, who are not allowed to be criticised under any circumstances, can do anything they want.

I dread to think what other changes are planned. One thing you can be sure about, no one will be consulted beforehand. They always know best.
