you can bin any person who ever goes ".. I have a lot of time for ..."  .
It's self-aggrandisement plain and simple, one of those phrases that put the speaker on a higher level than the subject.
Another is calling someone ' a genius' . (Used to be guilty of this one myself until I understood what I was doing) . It's implicit, upon labelling someone else a genius, that you already are - or how else could you identify such a quality in another.

Thommo says 'I have a lot of time for..' more than anyone alive.
