Looking at the 5day decks for Sat Champion Stks at Ascot and the prices on Betfair, the 1 that looks a bit of value 2 me, is Dubai Prince at 15.0. He is one of few in the field that there could be a lot more 2 come from. I was impressed with his winning 1st run back at Newbury a few wks ago under a very kind ride from Fallon, and he looks sure 2 improve a fair bit from that, and it was also pleasing 2 see the 2nd & 3rd that day frank the form since. On figures he does have a fair bit 2 find with the likes of So You Think who will be the 1 to beat, but at the prices Dubai Prince looks a bit of value before Sat with Dettori sure 2 be in the saddle, if so he will go off at single figures.
He does look a lively outsider, and as you say his form was well and truly franked by jet away.
However i've trawled the web incuding godolphin's site and can find no hints anywhere as to if he'll run or not.
So i've placed a modest stake on him till i know definately if he'll apear in the final decs.

Poet’s Voice is one of three entries for Godolphin in the £1.3-million Group One QIPCO Champion Stakes, with the others being Casamento and Dubai Prince.
Simon Crisford commented: “Casamento is rated 7lb higher than Dubai Prince who is on 110 and will need to run to 125+ to win the race.
“But Dubai Prince is one horse we have within Godolphin whom we have definitely not seen the best of yet.
“He is a quality colt and he is not going to bounce from his victory at Newbury after a long layoff because that was an easy win for him. He is definitely progressing the way we want him to progress.
“It is impossible to judge his form so far and we don’t know how good he is. He hasn’t claimed any proper scalps yet but he is exciting us and he belongs in that race alongside very good horses. Whether he is good enough to win, we will find out.

Cheers for the info folks, am new 2 all this laptop and internet stuff. Hopefully he will line up on Sat and av had a bit of the price myself on the win & place on betfair. I think this colt could turn out 2 be very smart indeed, maybe on Sat that might be a big ask 2 soon we shall see? Am sure the Godolphin gang would love 2 get another 1 over the So You Think team.

i find thats a bad sign!!! when they 'need it' they usually go on to win imo!!
nice horse but a little short now!! 33/1 before his last race for the champion, now that was a good bet!

Indeed ilwab,33/1 would be nice, still double fig odds available on a fresh horse.
Plenty of placed horses from arc have bombed out in this race over the years.
Different course now but so you think has arguably best 1 1/4mile form but can he reproduce it?

totally agree ribotman, syt is without a doubt the best horse in this race(to me anyway), but like you say, horses that have run as an after thought always seem to bomb out!! i do think he needs lots of racing tho so im hopeful he will produce his formm but i really dont want to have a bet on him at that price!
midday is a fine horse, one of my favs and has obvious claims and is worth a bet at the prices.
nathaniel is not a 10f horse and im personally to leave him out of my calculations, if he wins i can live with it but u have to have a stance. i think he was a v fortunate KG winner, we'll see how he does!
twice over is a fabulous horse but has never won at ascot (although ran byword to a half length and shouldve won if i remember correctly, tom gave him a lot to do).
cirrus des aingles is a fine horse too but feel they will collar him in the final furlong, theyre good horses and he'll do well to give them the slip, prob the best field hes faced (too lazy to check sorry)
dubai prince is the won we know little about. endless potential, will he bounce? 12/1 might be 'value' (hate that phrase) after the race if he goes and slaughters them but with midday about the 13/2 mark i find it hard to back him at 12s given the fact we know how good she is. MIDDAY has to be the selection at this stage. i thought she was going fillies and meres, is she?
