We know you are Dave Smith Chompy  - you don't need to constantly pat yourself on the back. You're the only one who thinks you're special.

I detest him because the time he got it wrong at Windsor I was on the one he wrongly called the winner and wasn't even given the chance to lay off a horse I thought had been beaten.

i think he once lost a photo finish bet, and now he doesn't want anyone betting on photo finishes .

he got it right though there didn't he? (Didn't watch the race)

I think with the problems many suffer in the world today a commentators calling - mistakes or not - is somewhat insignificant.

Feck, not the only time he's messed up either. Famous jackpot debacle at Fakenham a few years back when he had stepped down from the judges box before the only horse to go the right way had finished. Massive carryover, last leg and ended up costing some people a fortune.

Race was called void instead of Jamorin Dancer being named the winner.

asparagus, he's another Stickels (with delusions).

I agree tho think the difference is with Smith it's mainly about his ego. In stickels case it was more incompetence. Both useless tho.

to detest someone over a commentory mistake seems an over reaction imo.
By:
asparagus
When: 09 Oct 11 15:03
Zebadei, it wasn't a commentary mistake. He called the result without calling a photo and then corrected himself shortly after. By not calling a photo he didn't allow any photo betting.

indeed asparagus, but to engender the rmark poor feck made is disturbing enough for one to advise medical help.

ok, its something of an over reaction on your part imo - is there not somebody in your life i can contact to either assist or talk you down?.

Not nearby zeb. We're talking a Jonestown / Waco type scenario here. Your 15:29 post amounts to genocide.

feck its not nice to make light of such things,i allways saw you as a liberal Guardian reading chap -  perhaps the purchase of an appropriate crystal to relieve the angst and anger that wells up inside you.

Perhaps you're right zeb. We'll stick our fingers down our throats and reconsider our position once the good weather comes in. Hope this helps.

Well i'm glad ive talked you down fecky, but I hope it was not a freudian slip on your part - good weather - for all weather -

As the prospect of the all weather this winter has us all contemplating how to jump!

Anyway i'd appreciate your views on the financial crisis, the bha,the bet fair interface, bankers, and politics.

lol - hope you feeling better soon feck.

(as for you other thread bf seemingly overpaid so much for T ,that they appear to **** it around every website, bookmakers chain etc in a vain attempt to justify the price tag,but in reality have just devalued the brand to nigh on worthless)

I agree. Instead of taking on the racing post they seem to have retained all that was bad about Sleepy Hollow. They don't even incorporate the big advantage they have on market information into their database.

I have got no axe to grind but someone should stick up for him, I saw him last week and like most of you asked him how he can call them so quick, he said come and have a look so I went to his box, the technology he has is superb he is looking at an image of the winner before the commentator has finished talking, and the equipment was bought some years ago to do just that get the result out as quick as possible so punters can get paid quicker re-invest it so more money cames back into racing though the levy. If anyone wants to see and you are racing ask him, like I did, he has no problem showing anyone.
