Something is niggling me about yesterday's big-priced winner. Did Sir Mark inadvertently let the cat out of the bag re. the winner during his Channel 4 appearance yesterday?
It might just be coincidence but I seem to think he had to correct himself at one point when he mentioned Jamie Osborne but I can't recall the context in which he mentioned his name.
Did anyone else spot his 'mistake'?
Conspiracy theorist that I am, I just reckon that Jamie's the kind of posh git that would be part of a trainer cartel with probably Sir Michael as the JR Ewing of Newmarket.
No, mange, I lay awake all night wondering what these trainers are up to during their clandestine meetings together. I've seen their lights on after dark, meeting in their kitchens with the following days race meetings on the table.
I know that they can also use special equipment to read my mind as to what I'm likely to tip/bet and then they draw up their plans as to how to defeat me. It's always been like that.
All I can do is to get more cunning than them and not let them into my brain. That's why I wear a dead parrot on my head. That way they read the parrot's brain and not mine.
Be careful mange. They're bad people.

Let's start with the premise that in every UK Flat race, the result is known to the insiders before the off.
No? You don't buy that?
Okay, are any results known to the insiders before the off?
If so, roughly what % and does it only apply in certain race types i.e above £x prize money

No, not every race. Just those involving the 'cartel'.
Anyway, I'm not giving any more info. out. For all I know you could be one of them.
Trainers' instructions to jockeys, " Whatever you do don't follow Frankie down the middle.....he's on the cartel horse...nod nod, wink wink."

Well i like LUCAINDUBAI 4.25 fl Has ran well in propper races......this a 0 to 140 top weight off 122 the second fav won a claimer the 3rd fav must lead. I just feel that hes much better than these & a flat galloping track should help prevent his odd mistake.

So if airlines can get together and fix prices, as well as power companies, supermarkets etc. you all think it doesn't happen in racing? You must be so naive and yet the same people who don't think trainers put their heads together are also the same ones who complain that "that was a jockeys' race".

Of course they collaborate. Why do you think they don't explicitly announce when a horse has had a wind operation, a setback or anything else that has happened between its last race. They take us for mugs the lot of them. Ask them which horse they like out of the 3 in the race and they always sit on the fence, or if pushed tell you the wrong one.
They never have and never will be honest and punter friendly. They are slimy, avoiding and in some cases downright misleading. I could go further and say criminal but whats the point, the jockey club are all in it aswell. "Horseracing freemasons club"

That might be denathorn, but at the same time they're the lifeblood of this Country and represent all that is charming about being British. Gentlemen and scholars every one of them, with the right sort of breeding and education.
Where would poor people be without them?

I think the mistake occured when one of the C4 team said that Keys had previously been partnered to success by Jamie Osborne. Whoever made the faux pas (I don't think it was Prescott) then quickly corrected this to Jamie Spencer.

Yes Facts this game is very corrupt and getting worse all the time.
If anyone can take free money(and lots of it)with virtually no chance of getting caught. The majority will take it, as in every other area of life.Just look at politicians, big business or anyone keeping a £50 note they find. They know all the racing authorities and the racing media will turn a blind eye.Either because they have also been corrupted or are scared they will lose their job by speaking out.

The true problem about corruption for most people is that there just isn't enough of it to go around and many of us miss out on the opportunity to make it big.
If corruption was more rife than perhaps we little people might just get a slice of the action.
As it is, we just observe from afar and are left wishing "if only".

Come on flush, you're not trying to tell me that if Sir Mark didn't have an old broken down gelding that he wanted shut of he wouldn't wine and dine Jamie and play the convivial host?
Of course he would. You only have to see how friendly and amusing he can be when Chapman does one of his ATR interviews with him to see that the guy has no scruples when it comes to feigning 'friendliness' for the sake of his PR image. And who can blame him?
It's not as if he does it on purpose though because it's just the way he was born. He's a sort of an Artful Dodger character of the racing world. " Consider yourself my mate, consider ........

The media know whats going on, Tominator was another big price winner that Cattermole plugged before the Plate.
Tom Seagal is the perfect example, do you really think he works out all them winners himself?

Agree to an extent Lucky L but what you have now.Is already very wealthy people stealing from ordinary punters who usually have far less than these thieves.
For me the worst of it is, that the racing media have been corrupted by greed.I dont know any other area of journalism where journalists have betrayed their readers/listeners.In order to make money for themselves and take it away from the people they are supposed to defend.

You have to ask yourself this, have you ever seen a poor and destitute retired racing journalist/commentator/presenter?
Certainly not. Eventually they are all drawn into the murky world of race-fixing and make a fair bit of dosh before hanging up their pencils and microphones.
You definitely don't find them depending on receiving their Winter Fuel Allowance from the government.

The Racing media IMO deliberately ignore the three biggest issues in racing for their own financial benefit....
1.The rapidly increasing corruption, with connection regularly laying their own non trying horses through 3rd parties and backing them when they are trying. 2.The growing problem of compulsive gambling(as highlighted by the governments own NHS report).Three reasons which must be major factors are the last governments law changes.Which allowed bookmakers to put highly addictive FOBTS on every high street, unrestricted advertising to suck million more into gambling and permitting shops to open far longer hours(esp hours when people are not working). 3.Bookmaker recent policy of trying to suck as many people into opening new accounts. Then closing any that are not guaranteed to lose.In other words you are now only allowed to bet if you lose and loose regularly.
Ofcourse the Racing media know all this but choose to look after their own interests.

Anaglogs Daughter, everyone knew Never Can Tell was fancied but everyone also knew she had no chance from that draw, and that Osborne had been out of form all year.
And the mad conspiracy theorists probably figured Osborne had only booked Frankie so he could lay her at a shorter price.
Then Osborne got his partner-in-crime Sir Mark to ramp her even more by being on the same programme as someone else who accidentally said Osborne instead of Spencer when talking about something else entirely.
Let's face facts. Frankie rode her to lose: burned her up to get over to the rail in front of the pack when he had 2 miles to move across, then he pulled her off the favoured rail to race alone up the middle. Serves the bendy bar stewards right that all the other jockeys had also been bribed to throw the race.

Never Can Tell = Chuck Berry "C'est la vie', say the old folks, 'it goes to show you never can tell'"
It was played in Pulp Fiction =
Quentin Tarantino =
Inglourious Basterds, a film set in Nazi = GERMAN occupied FRANCE = Danedream a GERMAN trained horse who won The Arc.
Conclusion: We should off known wot was going to win yesterday as son as Danedream was given the Arc

swift-tuttle, the last paragraph may be far-fetched but it is what the pocket-talkers would have said if Never Can Tell had been backed and just failed.

The type of people as those mentioned, are the same type who run the country.Selfish and corrupt, already very wealthy but stealing tax payers money fabricating expenses or to pay mortgages on 2nd homes.Just look right to the top of this government and you will find multi millionaires making ordinary people pay for their mortgages and other luxuries they could cover with their loose change.
Greedy selfish Bs now run racing.Their only concern is how working with bookmakers, they can screw more and more money out of punters. While the media take their share as long as they keep quiet.

I think its become far worse in the last 10 years than its ever been.We have become so apathetic, that governments now know they can ignore us and do as they please.Because people will just shrug their shoulders and keep voting for them.
Same as in racing. The elite running racing know punters will put up with anything they choose to do for the benefit of themselves and the people on the inside. Also that the media will not rock the boat.
