anyone have an idea of the winner of this?headin to the local track tomorrow.it'd be nice to cover the expenses.i've narrowed it down to two i like bideford legend and faltering fullback.bideford legend ran well the last time in kerry equivalent.put up 5lbs for that but could still be improving and the ground will suit.davy takes over the ride and he is most likely the jockey when this stable has one ready.
faltering fullback is trained by another local trainer who can get them ready for these big handicap chases.he ran well off 125 in hurdles race lst time in listowel and runs off same mark here.looks to have been readied with race in mind.trends favour this horse as no horse has carried over 10st12lbs since '02.
as for the others- for bill wil do well to carry that weight over this distance.uncle junior may need even forther.golden kite will hardly cause another shock off 7lbs higher.

anyone with any thoughts on the race?

Would have a personal fancy for faltering fullback but no inside info. Probably a bit inexperienced but likes cut in the ground. Will have a small bet. Would not fancy For Bill either.

Faltering Fullback is expected to go close - i have had a few bob ew on Arklow Ger, could run better than the price suggests imo

Nothing looks that well handicapped for such a big pot.

Played For Bill at 8/1, and even though I don't think she is that well handicapped on her novice chase runs, this is the 1st time we would of seen her over 3 miles. You would expect some sort of improvement from her over today's trip of 3 miles as she was a unbeaten ptp winner over this trip, and she has always shaped to me like a stayer who would appreciate it.

5 of her 6 wins over hurdles/fences have come on right handed tracks too, and she does seem to have a slight inclination to jump out to her right, so going right handed again today should help.

I just get the impression she was campaigned over 20-22f in her novice runs in order to keep her handicap mark unexposed over the longer distances.

She made a nice enough seasonal debut against Finger Onthe Pulse (147 rated) (He was the 3rd best horse in the Galway Plate imo - weakened rapidly after the last) 3 weeks ago over 22f. She made a few early mistakes, but stayed on really well at the end after having too much to do. Hopefully 140 won't prove beyond her, although if she doesn't improve for the distance then she probably won't win.

Good luck.
