Clerk of the course Michael Prosser, speaking on Channel 4's The Morning Line, said: "We watered, albeit moderately on Friday morning, then had isolated and unexpected showers in the afternoon and evening. Five millimetres fell so the ground is now good, and it's decent ground."

...wouldn't surprise me if we end up with ground softer than advertised...

Raining in Newmarket pretty heavy. Gay Kelleway has confirmed Swing Alone for 5.00. She says ground is good to yielding.
