exactly

claiming today in paper 20/1 winner Parish Hall, when never put up as bet with stake

WALOS
Report lagmorian • October 10, 2011 10:13 AM BST
his headline was 'hall in it together' and he wrote a sizeable piece on his reasons for bettin it (larger than his write up on his selection), but he didnt recommend a stake to place on it much to his frustration i would guess

As desperate as the Daily Express 100-1 winner Mischief

headline claiming RACING: 100-1 WINNER FOR VITAL STATISTICS
Shocked

still off topic Laugh
Report lagmorian • October 10, 2011 10:27 AM BST
after reading it there and it says that he put punters in the direction of parish hall so on this occasion id be willing to give him it, although putting it in his p/l would be taking the piss Laugh
Report TELL DEL • October 10, 2011 10:58 AM BST
that is very border-line isn't it !

Strictly his bet was 'TODAYS SELECTION 3pts Win ROGER SEZ'
Today they are claiming a 20-1 winner with Parish Hall because Pro-Bet
'put you in the direction of the winner'

True, it was the headline and got a positive write-up, BUT it was not the actual selection.
It was a bit cheeky to claim it as a 20-1 winner because no stake on it.
OK let him have it this time.... imo the D.Mirror best racing coverage of the daily papers.
Report ima_mazed66 • October 10, 2011 5:58 PM BST
The thing that gets me about newspaper tipsters anyway as taking the Daily Mirror for example (although they are all just as bad), Newsboy will give a tip, as will Bouverie, then they have Spotform, SF, F, EW, In-Form, Longest Travellers, Stat of the Day, Value Scope, Pro-Bet and not sure do they still do various other selections like Topspot, Speed Horse, Northern Correspondent, Newmarket and Lambourn Man but that around a dozen or so selections if they all should go for their own individual ones.

Inevitably when one of them tips the winner it is splashed across the pages in a massive headline but give the average punter anywhere between 6-12 picks in a race and more often than not they would be on the winner too!

Maybe that one's box was the farthest away from the entrance to the stables. Silly

If it's the Mirror forget all the Valueprobetscopetravellersuperstallnewsboy nonsense and just go for their SF,F and EW. They have had some bog price EW selections come in and they haven't boasted about it next day.
BTW had some nice payouts putting them in combi- forecasts exacta's in past. Sunday at Goodwood  ew & sf forecast 8/1 & 12/1
